I have been a player but have not been a football coach nor do I know the
Al Golden strategies in depth. But what I do suspect is that Al, with D'Nofrio,
bought a Penn State (where he played) strategy.
Miami, of course, has never been a grind-em-out system. It has, however,
been a system based on speed.
Golden impresses me as a decent guy who was essentially a round peg
in a square hole.
What does annoy the **** out of me were some of the truly nasty
things that were said about him on this forum. I recall one post
saying if Golden died on the 50 yd line then this person would
urinate on him. Totally stupid, nasty, and makes all Cane fans look
bush and stupid. And some of you forgot that the man has a wife and
kids who were ALSO subjected to the nastiness !
Say what you want about him - and I even laughed at some of the
comments - but you don't have to excoriate him. We all love Canes
football but you might remember its just a ----ing GAME. And I don't
give one **** whether agree with me or not.
