Miami's Best Pizza closing their doors by the end of March . After 40+ years ..

People so sad they don't even want to eat pizza .

Pizza has a huge markup. If you can't make money selling pizza, you're just not trying.

Guarantee the place will have a random fire soon. Owner collects insurance loot, rebuild whatever you want. Think, old tootsies.

Yes, but will they 'croot local arsonists, or bring them down from Jersey?

From what I heard the people who go there often were told by the owners that the rent got too high.
 
That real estate is just too good, they probably ran out of term on their lease (after 40+ years) and were trying to renegotiate.

They should go across US1 and see how cheap they can get that piece of **** Pizza Rustica out of that building that never works. They have the name that can actually make it work there.

Well, Joe, the deal is that they weren't a lot of good arsonists in Dade this year. Last year, if you look at it, we targeted, I believe, 4 arsonists in Dade and came away with 3. That was a good job right there, Joe. This year we needed some arsonists but there weren't any in Dade, that we felt comfortable with, so we had to go out of state.

Joe, it's a process but we are working our tails off here.

Pizza Rustica closed in that location a few weeks ago. They are already working on the interior for the new tenant. I'm right down the street so naturally I'm anxious to see if its going to be worth a **** or not.

Once again the morans on this site are going to blame al golden for simply following donna's instructions. You see, donna wants a more ethnically sensitive group of restaurants around south florida. So she suggested that al apply his defensive scheme to this pizza joint. It prevented them from ever getting enough customers to stay in business. Coach golden did note that this restaurant was top 15 in salad sales though.

Im hearing that golden is close to signing a 2 star restauranteur from North Jersey named Baboo who is expected to open a middle eastern restaurant in this location.

They shoulda offered single slice servings after lunch and stayed open 2-4 am ...could have at least tried something .

Would be nice if casolas opened up a new location there. .bittersweet though lmao
