Al Golden after Nebraska loss: "Let’s take a deep breath"

It's ironic this guy has all these virtues, pillars, and rules to live by...

And doesn't practice what he preaches. He's a coward and a fraud.

He speaks and makes comments like he has zero pressure on him....

Boo this man!!!!

We were down 17 points with 5 seconds left in the game and couldn't stop them from running at will on us. We needed a 4th down garbage time TD to make it a 10 point loss. And he's patting himself on the back for keeping it close? That was almost winning in his twisted fat mind?

What a stupid piece of **** loser f.a.ggot he is. He makes me sicker by the minute.

But he had the biggest APR turnaround in history, and that's what our nerd school wants from it's football team.

"But let’s also take a deep breath and say, ‘Man, how close were we to winning that game in that environment,’ and be proud of the guys that played the way we wanted them to play, and get those guys to grow, because a lot of guys did grow up in that game."

My jaw just hit the ******* floor. I don't even know what to say. You basically told us to just accept being mediocre, because our boys, played the way you wanted them too. How is that? continuously making mistakes, missing tackles, allowing 6-7 ypc. **** that just ****ed me off.

Cmon boys, we just got our **** pushed in, now lets go have some ice cream. Here's a participation ribbon too. ****!!!!

Lol he said he heard those were the same fans who wanted Coley fired after game one. But we don't listen to it lol. I hate dude more each day. Him and Fat no D have very thin skin. Yet they double down and the same crap that don't work

Same here. I really can't listen to him because it ****es me the **** off. That press conference that some1 put was the first time I heard him speak since last year

You really only need to hear it one time.....same **** different day

Hey Al, why don't you take that deep breath...and never let it go. Make the last one count!

What a ******* loser. Using his logic, with moral victories, he thinks we are 4-0.

Good God, **** this idiot. I wonder what he set our team's handicap at this season.

That's what happens when you are under contract till 2019. Kinda takes the urgency away.

Worst extension in CFB history. This one will be the case study on how not to run a football program.

Only thing worse than our current staff is our current administration.

All schools make bad hires but when you stack 3 terrible hires in a row you are doomed. Not to mention 3 equally ****** AD hires it makes it **** near impossible to be relevant.

Congrats Donna! GTFOH already.

He speaks and makes comments like he has zero pressure on him....

Boo this man!!!!

Miami Hurricanes’ Al Golden: Best remedy is to ‘move forward’

Q: I know this has happened before during your tenure but regarding the defense, fans are being very vocal and open and upset regarding [defensive coordinator] Mark D’Onofrio and the job they think he doesn’t do, or does do. How do you deal with that and keep that out? It’s obviously out there. How do you keep that pressure from getting to everyone?

A: "We don’t read it. We don’t listen to it. We don’t look at it. I think the biggest thing for us is to just move forward. We’ve got a great opportunity here. We haven’t played a Coastal game yet. If we’re really honest, from what I understand there were a lot of the same people that wanted [offensive coordinator] James [Coley] fired after the first game.
Again, I think for us, we’ve got to block all of that out. I’m sure there were people that didn’t believe in Brad Kaaya the way that we believed in him. I can go down the line of those decisions that we have to make. Obviously, you can’t please everybody. It’s really not about that. It’s about doing whatever is best for your ball club. Our guys right now, we have to move forward. We can’t sit around and complain. It’s not going to help execute. It’s not going to help us win the game against Duke. Really, right now what we need to do is just stick together and everybody, starting with me, take accountability for what didn’t go right.
But let’s also take a deep breath and say, ‘Alright, man, how close were we to winning that game in that environment?’ And be proud of the guys that played the way we want them to play, and get those guys to grow, because a lot of guys did grow up in that game. So, make sure we don’t throw that out with all the negativity.
Get those guys to grow, take accountability for our errors, fix them, improve them and then let’s move forward on a unified front going into Duke week. That make sense?”
