Ahmmon Richards...

At least the injury is only a meniscus. He could be ready for spring.

Highly doubtful he does anything meaningful this spring. My guess is he’s shut down until the summer.

You can come back from a meniscus in 2 weeks depending on how it is torn.
Riiiiiiiiggghhtttt....... Go ask D Wade about that miniscus scalping procedure he had done that allowed him to come back quickly.

Are you stupid? People recover from meniscus tears in weeks. A chick in our office is 70 pounds overweight, having surgery for the same injury, and will be back walking a week after the surgery. This chick has never done a day's worth of exercise in her life.

Richards was amazing as a Frosh. Not gonna lie, this year he was pretty mediocre and that's being generous. I hope he gets his meniscus and his mindframe fixed and comes in ready to ball out in 2018 and get that first round paper. He's got the talent. Praying his surgery goes well.

He was playing with a torn hamstring all season so that might have something to do with it. That type of injury only heals with extended rest. He'll be back with a vengeance in '18. Hopefully we have a QB who can get him the ball.

Can she play DT?

People just be talking sh*t on here Man. He still had 18.5 yards per catch while playing with an ankle, Achilles and hamstring injury

Favoring the hamstring may have had something to do with the knee. That said, I hope he comes back stronger than ever. 2018 should be a helluva year.

I had that thought, that the hamstring could have contributed to the knee. At least it's not an ACL. This should in theory be easier to come back from.....and at last, he will get the opportunity to fully rest the hamstring.

Dugans gets his WR room to play as big as any coach on the staff..It's a tough loss but I trust that he'll have this unit ready Saturday.. Just need Richt to get his QB room on track.

Non-Contact knee injuries in athletics are usually caused by an imbalance in strength in the hamstring and glute compared to the quad. even minor strength imbalances are exacerbated by fatigue. Favoring his hamstring can definitely cause knee problems, as that hamstring is not at the same level of muscle control.

Flame me if you want but this doesn't change Miami's chances drastically (if at all) imo. Best way to attack Clemson is throwing into the voids in the middle of field when they're in zone. If they go Cover 1 pressure their safeties are good at maintaining depth and their corners are also pretty good, plus there will be limited time to throw so the best bet is to have a safety valve or throw the quick stop route to the sideline. Richards' skillset isn't required to do those things and Miami has good depth at WR. Also 31 is a small corner and Langham/Cager are good matchups to exploit him.

...but wouldn't a healthy Ahmmon Richards help accomplish this? I don't follow how you see no issue with his injury.

Reading comprehension. Yes Ahmmon would help. No I never said I see no issue with his injury. I said it doesn't drastically change Miami's chances because the offense can do what it needs to do with or without him. The line on this game moved from +9.5 to +9 since his injury fwiw.

Well done, mods.

This is without a doubt the most annoying and worthless poster in a long time.

Some trolls have redeeming qualities, but this motherfūcker was relentlessly unfunny, obnoxious, and stupid to boot.

Good riddance

Hes was just messin with people because there feelins get hurt, if u know rollin u know how he is its no big deal. Most of the **** was funny because of the reaction it would get

Line hasn't moved at all. Specific spots may have moved upward or downward but it's still roughly a 50/50 split of 9 and 9.5

Receiver injuries don't move a number. This line was already jacked up a few points based on the opposite results from Miami and Clemson last week. The only way the injuries to Herndon and Richards might have moved this spread is if Miami had won as expected last week, and the Clemson number remained in the 6 to 7 range. In that case the sharps may have used the bunched injuries on offense as rationale to play Clemson up a little bit. Right now they feel they are already paying a bit of a premium based on the Pittsburgh outcome.

It's still early though. Some of the major betting outfits wait until Friday to pounce.

Time for guys like Mike Harley, Cager, Dayall Harris to step up bigtime along with Berrios and Jeff Thomas. Need to get DeeJay Dallas a lot more involved and get him the ball in space to make plays.

GO CANES!

DORK! You intentionally failed to mention Superman AKA Langham!:sanford:

Question for those who understand this stuff.

I just read JT Barret had surgery to remove a piece of torn meniscus, and WILL play this weekend. HOW is that possible, and was that not an option for AR?

Like I said earlier in the thread, you can return within 2 weeks depending on how it is torn. Barret is pushing it at less than a week but he is in top shape so the structure around his knee is solid so possible. I personally think AR should just heal up and get ready for next year and show he was just a victim of the soph slump. He has suffered some type of injury in almost every game played this season.

Yes you are right. Depending on the extent and location of the tear and what surgical procedure done: partial meniscectomy vs. loose body removal vs. meniscal repair, the recovery can be from 2 weeks to several months.
