Ahmmon richards Article

We need him to be the Ahmmon of old, only better. He can be the best WR in the ACC if he stays healthy.

Agree, he should be the best WR in the ACC, and him and Thomas should be the bet pair of WRs in the ACC
I agree if healthy we will have the best WR corps in the ACC if not the nation, I'm just not sure it will be JT starting on the other side. We have a lot of guys in a pack and I can think of a few that can win the job on the other side, possibly a new FR All American in Hightower.

I agree. I know the board is in love with JT's speed, but I'd rather have him in the slot and have a guy with more size and strength on the opposite side. Hopefully it's Cager who steps up and performs like how he did against ND and Wisconsin. This would really open up the middle of the field for JT and whoever's at TE. Weapons galore this year.

People on here often forget that Cager was a highly touted recruit. I remember like yesterday when he chose us in the US Army All American game. It was a surprise. I hope he has a good season and then a productive NFL career as a possession receiver.

JT is dynamite, he has an explosion we haven't had @ WR in some time. Like the guys said above, put him in the slot, but he's gonna start somewhere, too explosive

“If he feels that good at the end of the year — all year — I’ll be so excited because it’s easier to call plays when you got Ahmmon Richards, I can promise you that,” Hurricanes coach Mark Richt said Wednesday. “He’s a great player, a great playmaker and he’s fun to watch. He’s dynamic. He’s an elite player.”

Dynamic is an understatement. When Richards is healthy, the offense goes to a different level. His freshman year is all you need to reference to see that. Coach understands that. The oline just needs to give the QB time enough while Richards gets open. If the run game is clicking....omg watch out. Coach knows it, Richards knows it, award list committees know it. Just have to stay healthy.

Richards is the best receiver at UM since.....?

He might be the most explosive on the team now (maybe), but I have no idea what the love fest is with this kid considering we regularly have guys of his speed and explosion at this program. We even had Dorsett and Benjamin during the down years. Let's see him live up to those standards first.

Dorsett was straight line fast, but not explosive like JT. Benjamin was explosive and fast, but he weighed 143 pounds, lol. Watch some his film from last year, JT has IT. he was a TRUE freshman last year, I expect a big jump this year in #s.

Talk about one of the most forgotten individual seasons. (re Hankerson in 2010.) I totally forgot he went off that year. LOL. Yeah if AR has those types of numbers we made it to the ACC title game going away and won 11-12 games.

If... If Ahmon stays healthy, AND we can get production like you are expecting from JT in the slot AND the Freshmen TE's prove to be reliable targets in the middle AND someone like Cager & or Hightower are above average on the other side, Ahmon will go CRAZY this year. You can't roll coverage to him every down if we have kids that can house it from all the other positions mentioned. IF we also make teams respect the run then that my friend is a Wrap. All American season for Richards & video game stats for our QB (TBD)
