Ahmad Moten (not injured)

Before the season, in an interview, Moten said this was his "money" season, that he had just had a kid, and that he plans for this to be his last collegiate season. Things can obviously change, but I'm just trying to temper expectations.
 
I freely admit that I hope he will play for my favourite CFL team, Ottawa RedBlacks. :) He is from the city.

Regardless he’s made money for next year. With NIL or the draft. I’ve been saying all year he’s been the best and most consistent interior guy.

What is he “rated”? I always see this but nobody is calling him Trent Williams. Has he been a glaring issue for us like most assumed he’d be before the season began? Has he been the reason for any injuries or game changing pressures/sacks? The penalties have been an issue, yes - but they’ve been an issue for this entire OL and team altogether. What’s more likely, him coming back and continuing to progress, like he has done YoY - Or him leaving and us getting a sure fire clear upgrade at LT?

I’m in the minority when I say I don’t really care that much about these kids draft prospects. At least not 1/5 as much as I care about how they play for us. We have arguably the best pass pro in America, and he has played fine IMO. Has he faced a slew of great pass rushers? Not really, but he has done his job, no? Saturday will be a test and Howell is good and will likely get him a time or 2, just like he’d probably get 99% of tackles in CFB a time or 2 and why he will likely be a top 32 pick in April. Let’s just hope those instances don’t turn into game changing moments.

I was EXTREMELY hard on him coming into this season. I will admit that. I was putting him in “bust” territory. But man did the light come on for him at the perfect time for us. Not sure how much it would take to keep him around another year but we **** sure need to try. He’s been lights out this last half of the season. He’s playing like he figured it out.

Still plenty of highly ranked and productive bodies in those rooms, but that's a lot of dudes to exit at one time.
