I misread, that was the mistake. I thought he was saying he would have been the 1st DT in this previous draft. Thanks.
 
Our defense is going to be better than last season. Hetherman said again and again he was trying to keep things simple due to the tissue paper D we had in 2024. We have the dudes to do whatever that psychopath wants to do.

Blount not getting much love, but he was a dawg last year when he played! At both end and inside. While watching these clips, which are not focused on him, you can see that he is going to replace Bain well as the SSDE. Strong enough to seal the edge and fast! On the second play, he starts off at DT and is getting doubled. Mesi missed the tackle and now the QB gets outside. But Blount put BOTH defenders on the ground and is fast enough to knock the QB out! Elite!

I'm sure Mario is upset that you're not willing to excuse our recent misses.

Be real -- every year you're going to miss out on targets. Even the mythical #1 recruiting "champion" misses out on some of their targets.

Do you not excuse your portfolio after a down day or two in the market?

You don't win them all, no matter how good you are.
 
A little step down at DE no doubt. BUT. The interior DL will be a step up. The DEs will be a handful. This D line will be top 10? Moten and Scott.

Respectfully one DT went in the first round and that was with a bad foot. Moten would have absolutely moved up in the draft. IMO

He wouldn't have though.

The reason why he came back, is because he received a 3rd-4th round grade via the Draft advisory board.

If he was going to be a 1st rounder, he would've declared. He came back, because he wasn't graded as a 1st rounder.
 
Moten and Scott are both 300 plus so why does heatherman want tall skinny dts ? Doers be see he needs war daddies Ike these

I think the ends wont be elite as Bain and Mesi but they will be very good. We will be better inside this year tho. Need to replace 0 in the secondary. Guy was a baller. We do that and this defense will be elite again.

My question to Jason is if Ahmad is in on nearly 47% of the plays, why waste any precious film time showing highlights against lower division teams like UF & FSU??
