Are we bad people for so enjoying the idea of Mensah and what he would mean for Canes football, while completely not caring about the impact this has on other teams and the sport as a whole? Are we the Dodgers of college football?

I mean I certainly hope we are all of what I think we may be, but should we feel bad about it even a little bit?

nah, watch the **** games! how the **** is it a crapshoot rating Lagway above Mensah? its stupid
I agree they need to watch the games. We all know how some get stuck on names instead of skill sets (Jake Garcia at Michigan? Seriously?).

Remember when someone started a post on here the other day asking why we became, or enjoy being fans of The U? There’s many reasons, but seeing everyone’s reaction to this story today is Exhibit A. It was all good when Miami was going 6-6 and teams were coming down here dropping bags and stealing all our recruits, but as soon as we start being good again everyone in college football is like, “No, no, no, we can’t have this.”
I didn’t see this when Texas Tech was buying players.

I didn’t see this Alabama recruits were posting pictures of themselves with huge wads of cash of national signing day.

I didn’t hear a whiff of concern that a coach was leading cars to his players.

We like wearing the black hats. We root for the bad guys in movies.
Insulting us for Mensah or NIL or Lucas simply fuels the fire that is Canes football.

We are like the heels in pro wrestling. And we love it.

Im confused about our players portaling out. If the window is closed, how can anyone leave? (Emory?). Or if you are still playing is the window extended? That would seem to be a big disadvantage to teams in the playoffs.
The window is extended if you're playing the championship. Brantley and Simpson could have waited.

It’s becoming more and more obvious that people just don’t watch the actual plays nor know how to project/apply those plays to different situations. What’s funny is they do it for a living. Lagway. Dude cannot set his feet or throw a single accurate out pattern. Yet people on these sites highly rate him because of how they think ‘Sunday evaluators’ will perceive the player or how they saw the player perform in shorts. LOL, horrific stuff.
1. These evaluators rank these players based on pro potential and Lagway still has more pro potential than Mensah (bigger arm, more physical traits, etc). Doesn't mean he will be a better pro, just means he has better traits.

2. We've had the No. 1 or No. 2 ranked portal class each of the last two years, were we bagging on the evaluators then or only when they don't rank our players higher?

I know everyone loves to **** on the Andrew Ivins' of the world, but I will die on the hill that ranking high school and college players is mostly a crapshoot, the difference between the No. 5 and No. 6 quarterback in the rankings is negligible and generally speaking, these guys do a good job.
