My point, we only have two slots. Spafford and Toney. Cooper for Indiana played slot at 6’1. We need guys that can be possession receivers at the slot when Toney needs a break. I’d prefer someone with years of experience.

If we are scoring 42 and increase the explosive plays, we have more drives and opportunities on O. That also means more pass rushing needed on D.

Bro you should know by now how we operate that nobody is guaranteed a starting spot, not even the transfers. All of those young guys in that WR room will have every opportunity to earn a spot just like Toney did as a true freshman and the cream will rise to the top, I know we’re not used to it but this is what having a championship level program feels like. If a guy is scared to compete & leaves cause of a transfer tweet then good riddance, we want dawgs willing to compete here anyways.

I saw Barkate line up everywhere. I think he's the candidate to move around as an X into bunch formations, used as an insert, motion, etc. He really is a great complement to Toney. Better than CJ Daniels in some specific ways.

Young guys often want money and playing time without earning it. ****, Pringle and his family are mad he got benched in the playoffs despite the fact he actually (not in theory, in actual plays) was lost on blitz pickups. There was a big update in the transfer portal last night, and it's a huge deal...

Duke's star wide receiver, Cooper Barkate, is jumping into the transfer portal to explore new opportunities after a standout season with the Blue Devils.

So, who could be Miami's next quarterback next season? It's Darian Mensah, who’s transferring from Duke. Cooper was his main guy, so they already have a good connection, and now they’re both linked to Miami, and could make them a duo to watch out for, according to On3.

Barkate, who joined Duke last offseason after three years at Harvard, had an great season with the Blue Devils, with 72 catches for 1,106 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games in 2025.

Before that, he spent three years at Harvard, racking up 113 catches for 1,742 yards and 14 touchdowns from 2022 to 2024.

Barkate was the top receiver in yards for both Duke and the ACC, snagging second team All-ACC honors and a spot on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.

If Miami can somehow get this duo, it would be a fantastic addition for the Hurricanes. Not only getting Mensah but also his go-to guy? Yes, please!
