The committee clearly values eye test highly as evidenced by Utah getting jumped by us. If we pass the eye test against Pitt in a comparative way to Notre Dame our resumes would be nearly identical and we’d have the head to head. If they don’t put at least in the playoff (not even replacing Notre dame) it’s straight malpractice (would probably happen though…)

Just accept that we’re not jumping ND and we need 2 teams to lose Saturday and you will grieve with it all much more quickly. It’s a beauty pageant and not a résumé

Maybe you need 1 of Oklahoma/Alabama to lose Saturday and BYU losing big to TTU in the Big 12 championship could do it but I wouldn’t count on it. Maybe ole Miss losing the egg bowl and Kiffin leaving for LSU is another path, but again, wouldn’t count on it.

Best chance is still 2 of Duke/SMU/Virginia losing Saturday.

All that being said, we still have to win on the road against a top 25 team in November. That’s at 12 o’clock. Everything else follows. I’ll start paying attention around 3:30.
