The intros to games back then were so awesome. Brad Nessler is the best.

What a dumb comment.... We got screwed by the BCS the year before when we should have played and would have blown Oklahoma off the map and obviously the ridiculous PI against Ohio State those recruiting classes by Butch would have won 3 straight titles

Serious question. Miami doesn't get screwed in 2000 and beats the **** out of Oklahoma for the NC. How many of those guys return for their Senior year? I'm pretty sure I read Reed & McKinnie both say that they only came back to win the NC.
 
after seeing that clip...i'm almost positive golden would've suspended sean taylor, kellen winslow, ed reed, jerome mcdougle, clinton portis, davenport, buchanon, vilma and andre johnson for at least 2 games for showing too much emotion and being "me guys"

those intros were hype. I don't know why they stopped doing them like that.

Exactly! If you really think about it, watching us now compared to then makes you truly appreciate just how incompetent and utterly clueless Golden is. Does it really take a genius to figure out the type of explosive jaw dropping speed and talent we have down in SoFla?

I mean just think about it. This imbecile spent all those hours and put in so much work over 5 years so he could make us big, stiff and slow? It just boggles the mind that a grown man who's chosen profession is coaching football would be so incredibility stupid as to really think he was going to install a passive counter intuitive 2gap read and react defense at UM. That idiot really thought that this was going to work? To come down here and witness for yourself all of the amazing and speedy fast twitch athletes and then purposely employ a system that basically nullifies all the quickness and playmaking ability of those players.

Seriously that might qualify as the single most retarded, asinine and insane coaching decision of all time. As a matter of fact forget coaching. That may just be the stupidest thing ever attempted. I truly believe that after a few years go by that we are going to hear more and more detailed accounts of just how dysfunctional this program was under this staff and how utterly incompetent they were. Really someone is going to make some money writing a book about this.

I was there as well, first UT play went about 80 yds, then we held them, Game was one sided after that.


On another note, remember when we would throw to the FB, sh&t remember when we used a FB. I hate this crap offense we run now. I have no doubt that Butch would stack talent again, if given the chance. He obviously did it at Miami and to a lesser extent at UNC, that is just what he does. I love the potential of a guy like Herman, but the only answer is Butch.
 
Do you remember that long run on the opening drive that they had? I think that's the loudest moment in a road game that I have ever been a part of.! Crowd was very quiet soon after that

Clemson in '05 I think when they rallied to tie it up and sent it to OT was the loudest opposing stadium I have ever heard
 
I recall the Tennessee fans being the nicest fans I've ever been around. I was pretty surprised considering it's SEC country
