1 step @ a time, then:

You see an offense clicking on all cylinders for 6 games and you call it "innovative." (Appropriately so, because the playcalls tend to play off each other and go in rhythm as you're getting more and more aggressive)


The last 6 games of a season and it's suddenly in the ruts, do you still call it innovative?? If not, why not? It's the same offense!

What I'm saying here is you've made great offensive results and innovative playcalling synonymous when they're not.

Not too problematic if we're just chit chatting on a messageboard,... but a real problem if this is what you're actually trying to go out there and hire based on.

What's so innovative about Alabama and Clemson's offensive playcallers to have them on top every year, and this year? When you really look at it, nothing. They simply have systems that are working,....for true freshmen QBs even (Tua last year and Lawrence this year).

Thesis: You think you want an innovative offense 1st, but you really dont, because it's secondary. You want an Offense that works 1st and if it does, the innovation comes 2nd. (See our defense this year)

How to get an offense that works? Coach well, recruit even better, and have a plan alot better than the 3 years and a cloud of dust-plan we saw from a tenured coach this year.

Folks we hired manny ****** diaz as a head coach manny ****** diaz florida state alum man who was previously fired a a d cord when he had to go up against decent offenses worst hire in history

What's the logic behind this?
Cause he's at App State he can't call plays at Miami. Many of the best coaches in P5 started at smaller schools.
Calling plays is calling plays. Concepts are concepts. Knowing how to get guys open and score points is the same on every level, the skill just gets better.

Ponce's offense is legit. They average 37 PPG and they run the **** out of the ball.

You guys get so obsessed with BIG NAMES that you never objectively look at a coach.

Everyone starts in the *******. But only a handful of diamonds are found. Out of 300 million people living in the US; only 30+ individuals are NFL OC. In the college game, less than 10 schools are serious perennial national contenders. Because of the millions and billions involved in today's game, there is almost no margin for error. So are you gonna tell me this 37 ppg john doe is worth the risk? Is he a gem or diamond in the rough just waiting to be plucked from this shiit hole called App St. ? There's your logic. Obsess on that. Would you put you and your family's livehood on this pick if you had the responsibility? Yeah. Didn't think so Mr. Obsession. Easy to talk when you got no investment and its house money you playing with Barney. FOH.

Bottom line , and in the position we are currently in, you need a coaching staff that is going to overachieve on gamedays to get us a win total at seasons end that exceeds the public expectations....by doing that you create the appearance of an upward trajectory to which recruits and parents will flock.

We need to win games. Period. End of story. You do that and the Miami brand backing up those wins will take care of the rest. We just haven't won **** in forever. Even the season we had two years ago was a mirage that any recruit could see through....we were two Daniel Langham miracles away from being a 5 loss team.

Get good coordinators, win more games, and the players will come. That's where we're at.

People who know the game of football and look at coaches objectively know that App State's offense is legit every year.

You don't know d!ck about his offense, you just don't like him because you're not familiar with his name.

calling plays is easy. every coach has said this. you think the game of football is madden? smh...some posters on here know nothing about football.

i've watched a hanful of app st games (bet on them a lot), they are an extremely well coached offensive team no doubt about it.

dabo was a WR coach before he bcame HC

Bill B was fired and thhen became the best head cover ever.

lincoln reily had to start somehwere.
