I'm excited to move forward with Manny at the helm. There's still some hesitation and caution with that statement as the one thing I absolutely did not want is another coordinator getting his first HC experience. At the very least, I believe the majority of the fans are happy with what he brought to the defense, but share the same feeling I have in hiring someone with their first experience without any other due diligence. Additionally, this is the first time that I can remember thinking their are multiple candidates out there that I would be happy to see get a shot. For me, this was huge, because the next search our best candidate might be another Golden or Edsall situation (shoot me).

With all that said, Manny is young and this is home so I believe he truly wants to make this work for more than just his career move and could make it a long term move if he's successful. Players seem to be happy and I think he will have some passion we haven't seen in awhile. A key item will be who he brings to run the offense. Ultimately, there's no point in complaining now. I'm not looking forward to trying to run out one of the few coaches we have enjoyed here in a long time. Let's hope for the best.

If his idea of hiring an innovative OC really is Frank ******* Ponce......I refuse to even give him a chance. Who he hires to be the OC is going to tell us everything we need to know about Manny's future here. We need a bad *** high end experienced OC. Fill up the rest of the **** staff with recruiters if you want....but we need someone tactical in that role.

No more excuses for this clown show. It was already a disappointing hire but one I might be able to get on board with if they nail the OC hire.
 
"innovative" playcalls on offense is the least of our worries right now. an offense only looks innovative when it works. i want to know how innovative the several hires we are at getting sit-downs with top recruits and their parents.

I disagree with every syllable in this post.

Innovative play calls is ALL that matters right now. We need better gameday coaching to win games. Winning more games then attracts the kids you really want and makes recruiting easier.

Sorry, but I rebuke that entire line of reasoning.
 
There are going to be many who will be upset the entire time, but at the end of the day, who knows. Maybe he runs a great program and we didn't realize it. He wasn't my first choice and from the very beginning I was telling people I knew that I 100% expected we either wind up with Cristobal or pursue Manny, because anyone who has been paying attention 100% knows that is our current admin's character. I'm happier to take a shot on Manny than go with Cristobal who I already believe is overrated as ****.

We've seen this show too many times so I'm keeping my expectations in check. I am holding out some positive hope simply because Manny is one of the only bright spots we've had in coaching in years, so i'd like for it to work out.

Mork as usual waits until the last minute to fix some shiit. He should have been upfront from the beginning...like way back before he was hired....he never looked comfortable or it never looked organic. Mork missed Georgia....his heart was never at UM.

Well what u gone do about it sherlock? You gone hire somebody, lol you have no say so.youre just a fan with zero power..even if you played for the canes. Are you a booster? You gave money to the program? Nope
