Yea and if shiit doesn't get right between now and game 12... I will be donating to banners.

don't think you'll be a lone ranger there'll be a lot here signing up along with you.
Last year there were some posters here that said that banners don't work, that they are a waste of money and time.
I strongly disagree... history proves they are and have been effective.

the most realistic thing that Manny should do or could do is today, is to lock up the touchdown and turnover chain until the players start playing like they want it, not only that but he needs to instill that one should be disgusted with themselves when they sloppy and pathetic. I shouldn't hear Jarren post game talking about how he doesn't think people are angry and that a win is a win, then go on to say that we will not get complacent; nah mf, Jarren is suppose to be one of the leaders on the team and he had the audacity to say that the team is not disappointed, like wtf dude. Again this goes back the culture and rn Manny should be instilling that same hate to lose, disgusted with sloppy play that those old, championship winning canes had. Nobody on this team is holding themselves accountable nor their teammates; it is disappointing and pathetic to not hear that the team is furious and upset with the way they played.

Don't get me wrong I didn't go into this season with any bias's about Manny... he deserves the normal time given a new HC to get the team right. But this last home game had some glaring issues that shouldn't have been present, and regression rather than improvement was evident. We were supposed to see an offense that was a work in progress, but a defense that was among the best in the country... nada... zilch.

A surface-to-air missile vs a Cessna 172 is pretty effective, too.

1. Stop the promotional BS. No more talk about swag, TD rings, WWF, Big Cane competition....All the bravado builds expectations you can't deliver on. Soundbites don't win games and you're exposed as a fraud when you come up short.
2. Be more short-sighted (win now). Building for the future is great and all, but you need momentum or this thing will come unglued fast. It's time to be brutally honest about personnel, focus on getting the players who can win now on the field, and coaching them up to be successful. This includes QB, even scheme.
3. Take special teams way more seriously. It's impossible to win with HS-level special teams. Get real coaching and demand excellence or your job is in jeopardy.
4. Figure out and fix the O-Line problem. OL has been horrific for years, and it's not improving. Consider Donaldson , who was billed as a rising star, started as a freshman; now he's overweight and average at best. Why are guys not progressing? Is it talent? attitude? coaching? scheme? lack of experience? If talent, is it bad evaluations or bad recruiting? Bring in consultants and experts if you need them, but figure it out and fix it. It's time for an intervention.
5. Invest in development, not just recruiting. The program lacks consistent, year-over-year developmental progress from players. UM doesn't have the luxury of drawing all blue chip recruits, it must find "diamonds in the rough", and develop the **** out of the less-heralded guys , guys with attitude, who really want to work (SFla is teeming with them!). The S&C program is a good start, now we need year-round improvement in diet, coordination, mental discipline, agility, technique, football IQ, etc.

-My 2nd year with this advice: You have men's and women's soccer teams, make a deal with the coahces and hold an open tryout and find someone, male or female who can kick a chip shot FG

Unfortunately, Manny doesn't seem to see the obvious and learn from his mistakes. The fish rots from the head down.

Manure,

Stop putting fun before winning. Your team lacks toughness, discipline and has no idea how to win. Focus on football and cancel the chain, rings, pre-game fashion show. You suck and your staff sucks. Since you can't fire yourself, at least fire the slapdick staff you assembled you f-cking stupid *******.

Manny accept the reality that you are just NOT HC material

IF you have any love for the U and self respect

Immediately start negotiations to retire for some obscure "health" reason with a reasonable portion of your buyout ( IMO 0.0%)

Because we all know how your Miami HC story will eventually end....

Even if he fixes all of these things, the elephant in the room is that he can’t recruit. We can’t bring in talent and he’s a terrible coach and has a bad staff. We are building our house in sinking sand

Sack up and get rid of the bartender and Patke, demote stroud to analyst, and demote Baker to LB coach and take back the DC job. Tell Rumph to coach safety’s and corners like a real DB coach or he can gtfo. That’s a start

Thoughts?

Fuc*ing works for me, I’m cool of Patke socks around as analysts also.

Tell Stubblefield and Barry to kick rocks

Someone please fill me in on the bartender story

Once graduating college banda was still trying to make it in coaching but he had to make money so he Bartended.

Patke worked in Oil and Gas Sales

Baker worked at Glazer Wine and Spirits in texas (distributor)

Interesting that a longtime journalist close to the program recently said in a podcast that he thinks Barry, Hickson, Stubblefield, and Stroud will not be back next year in part because they are ineffective recruiters and Rumph for a different reason he didn’t elaborate on. This makes sense that if Manny returns he has to remove the ineffective coaches and deflect blame elsewhere.
