Adidas x Bape x Miami Collab?

So you want to try and recruit a majority black team with a white boyish swag? That makes 0 sense. The way Pickney and Bandy dress is not influenced by skaters. It is influenced by rappers who are emulating the dealers and hustlers. That is why I am bringing up the hood not because I think you are from there. LMFAO the classic response of someone with no swag when their clothes get called out"stop hating". How is it weird? You had the most popular thread in CIS history and the first thing on your twitter was you are from Louisville.

Come on bro, black ppl were wearing baggy clothes in the '90s and early '00s. That slim pants tight shirt look came from the white boys, I'll even give them credit for that. It looks like Pinckney jacket might be an off-white collab which is a premier streetwear brand. If you're going to act like black ppl has been dressing like that then I'm not even going to debate bro. I'll let u have that.

And to give u a little history BAPE (a top 3 streetwear brand) was made popular in the US by Pharrell and The Clipse. It started over in Japan.

Of course the hype beasts are all about Bapes and the like. They aren't doing anything worth a crap, it's basically taking camouflage and putting it on existent silhouettes. If the kids love Bape, then so be it, but I couldn't care less. I get that a one time collaboration would make sense, but I doubt it's anything beyond that.

Black people were wearing slim pants in the 80s. Look at the paid in full posse(which was filled with a bunch of big time gangsters in NYC) they are all wearing slim pants.

I will drop a couple facts on style. People from the hood know this, but people from the burbs don't see it actually evolve.

This is what happens. First the gangsters and dealers start wearing something. Then the rappers and athletes start wearing it. Then everyone else starts copying it.

I have been seeing this cycle happen since the 90s. There are a handful of things like then pharrell hats that are started by the rappers, but the majority of stuff starts in the hood.

The 3 stipe sweatsuits? That was dealers copying the Russian and Italian mobsters that wore them. Gucci and Louis Belts? The dealers were wearing them when rappers were still wearing the BB simons belts and LED belt buckles. Air Maxs, air forces, tims, jordans all were the official footwear of the D-boys before rappers started wearing them. Champion gear which everyone is wearing again? Champion hoodies was the official sweater of hustlers Crips would rock the blue one and bloods the red ones because of the C. Same with Chucks and Vans. Offwhite supreme, etc were all worn by the hustlers before rappers and athletes even touched them. Every blood in NY was rocking Louboutins and that is why Cardi B started making them famous. I always know what the rappers will be wearing next because I see what the street legends wear.

LMAO bruh I know what Bapes are. I remember when freshest guys on the street would be wearing evisu jeans with a crazy pair of Bapes. Again, the dealers were wearing them LONG before Pharrell, pusha or Cassidy really made them popular.

I'll acknowledg that dealers have influenced pop culture but it also goes the other way. Dealers have been influenced by other cultures too.

But u don't know nothing about girbaud jeans though bet...

Bruh even Biggie was talking about Girbauds lol. This video is like 20 years old and they were all rocking Girbauds. This isn't a new thing. 99% of what rappers and athletes wear are because they are copying the dudes with money and power in their hood and thats the dealers. Most of the rappers grew up wanting to be gangsters. Look at rappers like 69 he was a big time rapper and wasn't even brought up with the gang schit, but he wanted to get involved because he looked up to them as a kid. He had no reason to do it.

Lmao girbaud jeans. You can tell very quickly who actually is actually into fashion & who just copies what they see from Ian Connor, Jerry Lorenzo, & Instagram. IE most young people today.

I was joking man. I knew they were popular in the 90's and that's why I brought them up. I said it in a tongue-in-cheek way.

Haha igh word you got me with that one. I thought you were being serious. They were even popular in like 08 09 with the ones that had the straps that said F+g+M or something like that on them.

I am happy to say I never heard of either of them, but I just looked up Jerry and the guy is wearing the cowboy pants

Streetwear today is trash. Suburban kids ruined supreme, bape, pyramid, etc

Facts. "street wear" I hate even calling it that because in the hood wear it originated its just called clothes. They don't say yo you see those dealers rocking that fresh street wear.

You are right though guys walking around with like floral print button downs with a sombrero on and schit. like wtf are you thinking lmao.

Yeah I remember when they were popular. I remember when people had a million pairs of Phat Farms too, and wore tall tees with another tall tee layered over it. Can't forget about wearing basketball shorts under your jeans either. Very underrated fashion statement. I used to do that. Or when people used to go to the middle of the mall and get there white tee spray painted. I remember all that sh*t, I grew up on it.

@OriginalGatorHater @D RevLee , it's not that serious, I'm turning 27. Made in Dade, Born in the Ghetto Raised In the Hood. Doesn't make me cool I'm glad I made it out. Growing up Miami embraced all the new fashions but at its core this is what I noticed. "Shoes" Hush Puppies, Buffalinos, Timbaland, Reebok classic, Converse Chucks, jordans and Air Force 1s. "Pants" sweatpants, basketball shorts, marithe francois girbauds, ****ies, Levi's, TRU Realigon, G Star. "Shirts" Polos, tank tops, t shirts, guayabera's, V-neck white tees and black tees and my favorite no shirt( Usually a skinny guy tattooed up) if you're single and trying to get girls buy a gucci belt that shows.

I doubt they go crazy with the jerseys, I think its mainly about the cleats. But if they do make a camo design hopefully it's not too "Flashy". Just my 2 cents

For real. The last supreme drop I got was a misfits one in 2013. It’s been diluted since with goofies wearing it now. Pyramid & supreme both skate culture brands with street ties. Now it’s for every kid that wants to pay dumb *** resale.

I feel you on the loud shirts too. They think anything that’s loud is fashion. Lol

Yup I remember all that schit. Then we had the bugs bunny shirts from lot 29 or whatever it was called. juelz Santana popularized it. Rocawear, Enyce, Fubu, ecko, Sean john, G-Unit, Famous stars straps, Gino Green Global. The shirts with schit like Warna Brotha, stop snitching, I got 3 for 50, and **** like that on it. The big *** nortfaces lmao. That was what I grew up on too lmao. I still stay up with whats dope, but you will never catch me wearing the *** less pants like that MF in the picture is wearing lmao.
