the eye witness said looked like at least 60. they have him at 78 per vehicle data.
Brotha, come on.
i read the report posted above....

it literally stated his vehicle made contact going 60.

He was at 70...then went up to 78 5 seconds before. Had an avg speed of 73.

Im not making it up its based on the report. Basically the black box thing u stated was in cars nowadays that i didnt know they had.

Did not realize we had so many pastors, theologians, attorneys, and judges on CIS.

yeah i agree. The only question is how many years before they return though. Not really a correct answer. I just don't really get why killing someone with a car is always so much less punishment than like with a gun though - especially when blatantely breaking the law in your operation of the vehicle.

Like if you generally just **** up and an accident results in death that's different than going 40mph over the speed limit/surrounding traffic and swerving in and out of lanes...
The difference between the gun and car, when used in their normal manner, is the driver of the car does not have intent to kill. In this case he did intend to drive recklessly as defined by his speed, but he did not intentionally hit the other car.

When a gun is fired, it is done with an intent to kill (unless accident). Even self defense is with an intent to kill. So that is the underlying difference between the 2 acts, and why, in most states, vehicular homicide carries a different punishment.

All crimes are a combination of act plus intent, and both need to exist for a crime to have occurred (why accidents are not crimes is becuase people lack intent). So in the case of vehicular homicide, we as a society are punishing the act of reckless driving in a very severe manner because of the end result. But if there was no accident, the punishment for hayes’ reckless driving would just be a ticket. Because all Hayes intended to do was drive recklessly.

nowhere is it reported that the kids weren't buckled in. just CIS rumors like everyone was saying they made an illegal left turn. they were making a lawful turn. Hayes sped UP before the crash. going 80 mph would eject nearly anyone.

I've seen some "I told you so" **** before, but this one probably takes the prize. CIS has some heartless ********.
Very true but the poster you are replying to is one of them himself. He said DB Amari Wallace would not play for UM and that he should have his scholarship revoked after suffering a knee injury during his senior year at Central. Wallace participated in Spring at full go.

Just shows how it can all happen in the blink of an eye. We all have skeletons. Not going to dump on Hayes. I’d imagine he’ll be regretting this forever. And God look over the kids and their family
This is the proper response. All this other tough ish coming from dudes who have definitely drank and drove cars recklessly before is nauseating. My lawyer father, his female attorney partner (that he was dating), and her niece and nephew both under 10 years of age were all killed by a drunk driver who ran a red light and T-boned them in 1990 when I was 11 years old. My father was a single parent of 5 children at the time as my mother had remarried and moved to Michigan. We were home alone, praying in circle until sunrise, sensing something was tragically wrong because he never came home that night. Until family began to arrive with the news.

Of course our hearts go further out for the innocent victims and their families. And with that said, I can still say that this is sad and unfortunate for Hayes as well. The guy who killed my father was around 50 years old and Hayes is around 19 years old. Hayes deserves his punishment but this news being **** for some dudes and their need to vilify is weak.

Can we stop with this.. what do you deserve… pray for the kid. And that family.. seems anybody with status..nfl players basketball players., they all drive like that and it needs to stop
what do I deserve? hopefully not getting Tboned by an ******* like Hayes driving 80mph and murdered. Say my prayers everyday though hopefully thats not the way I go.

I'm only asking a question , not trying to sound like a know it all....
If you willingly ignore any consequence associated with the action doesn't that qualify as a form of intent??? Believe me I understand he didn't get behind the wheel wanting to run into someone but by driving recklessly knowing ahead of time potential actions that could occur you do have intent to follow through with the recklessness ,no???
Again, not trying to be a smartass.... Looking for a real answer
