Adam Gorney from Rivals says...

PEOPLE GET TOO CAUGHT UP IN RECRUITING RANKINGS

U MEAN TO TELL ME IF WE LAND COLLINS, 6, KIRKLAND AND COLEY ON TOP OF WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE AND THE CLASS WAS RANKED 18TH OR SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE UPSET????

**** THAT AND ALL THOSE DUMBASS RANKINGS

What I find most funny about this is how this guy is the "West" recruiting expert (you couldn't tell right?) and the fact that another one of the dudes put FSU on the list (a team this guy claims is killing Miami in FL)

Nothing to see here...

imo it makes more sense to look at recruiting classes over a 2-year time span, especially at a place like rivals where rankings are so dependent on how many guys you sign. last year's class was overrated in their rankings cuz we brought in 30 kids, and this year's class will be underrated because we're bringing in less than 20. but if we land the type of kids we think we're gonna land, that ~50 kid class is gonna look pretty **** good.

That site is full of idiots.

Dallas Jackson wrote a column earlier in the year (I even created a thread on it) where he claimed our wish list was generic and our class was looking like a "lump of coal."

I tweeted him asking him to explain his thoughts. Of course he wouldn't answer, so I then went into detail (asking him how Kevin Olsen, Jamal Carter, Artie Burns, Standish Dobard are considered a lump of coal, and how a wish list consisting of Matthew Thomas, Alex Collins, Stacy Coley, Keith Bryant, and Jaynard Bostwick is considered "generic."

You think he replied... of course not. Nobody on that site does actual research, and when they get called out on their ****, they'd rather run up a tree than admit they were ignorant.

Adam Gorney, West: Miami has to be on this list. The Hurricanes have only 12 commitments; three are already enrolled, and the nine others don't exactly blow anybody away. There are no five-stars in their class, and only one prospect -- defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad -- is in the Rivals100. That is unacceptable for a program with so much talent surrounding the school that the coaching staff could pull kids from just five miles away and field an excellent team. Miami is really losing the battle for Florida talent with the Gators atop the team rankings and Florida State in the top 20. There are a bunch of teams, including some in the ACC, that are ranked ahead of Miami in the team rankings that have no business being there. Al Golden and his staff have to close really strong to stave off a disappointing recruiting class.

The only team that is higher with a similar # of commits is USC. Rivals is all about quantity and they are the least respected evaluators

Sounds like someone who never played football in their life but was a jock sniffer to all the stars on the football team.

You have to have played football to know football or recruiting?

Our last OC Jedd Fisch never played football in his life and is now an NFL OC. Does he not know **** either?

What a clown!! They pay him to do his job?? Poor rivals just giving away free money. The guy is only concerned about big names... What a joke!

We have the 63rd ranked class on Rivals. 10 of our 13 commits are from outside the state of Florida. Our biggest remaining targets Thomas, Coley, Collins, Bryant....aren't even surefire Cane locks.

Take off the orange and green glasses and look at things objectively and you'll see that this guy has a point. Not saying that he's completely right or that class rankings are everything...but if you look at things objectively you'd have to be concerned about where this class stands right now. But of course a lot can change between now and NSD

lol looking at things objectively, you would see our average star rating is right up there w FSU and Clemson. its bc we have a small class our ranking is low and not to mention we have about 6-7 guys that are still waiting to announce

Thanks for posting.
I will follow with as good if not better post about our recruiting written by my grandmother. You will like hers better my friend.

Any my grandmother, too. (She's been dead for 40 years.) She'll still do a better job.

Give me a break. Where do these people come from? They should send all the illegals back, open up some jobs, so this character can get a real one.

You do realize that is every recruiting "expert" out there right? They're all male groupies.

Adam Corney is obviously a stupid uninformed gun-jumping ******. Why not wait till after signing day to evaluate what UM does? Dumb ****** failure.
