Who is them? That has been the issue during this whole drama. There are multiple factions who want different things. And despite the earlier talk on this board it is hard to believe that any one side has the ability to do what they want. Is Mario supposed to be the great uniter that all parties agree on or would that be a fight too?

Let’s remember Julio didn’t even inform the BOT he was firing Blake. He’s probably not listening to them now either which is why they’re leaking all this bull crap

Watch it. You'll have people come in here and tell you that the current President could never wheel that type of power because the money people have to ok buyouts. Also Frenk wants a new deal so he'll do what they want. Of course those money people who wanted Mario hired after Richt retired couldn't or wouldn't stop Blake James of all people from hiring Diaz and getting the buyout stuff worked out.

According to LSU 247, Lashlee is being introduced tonight at SMU as new HC. Ironically, he is talking to Blake Baker for his DC....

Miami offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee is the next SMU head coach and is being introduced to the team on Sunday. Lashlee is close with LSU linebackers coach Blake Baker, who already has a few opportunities to head elsewhere as a coordinator or assistant as programs jockey for him. Baker helped Damone Clark to a Butkus Award finalist season and Micah Baskerville to being a legit pro prospect.

Now Lashlee is targeting him as his defensive coordinator. We're watching this one closely as Baker will undoubtedly look at remaining at LSU with the next staff as well. Timing on that front could determine whether he's back or has to move on. The Houston native returned to Louisiana last offseason and did an impressive job with his group.
 
These clowns are seriously not going to get rid of Manny unless there’s a quick replacement, because they’re afraid of people transferring out?? That sounds like a massive excuse. I’ve never heard any other CFB program use that rationale.

Well we aren’t hiring lane because ‘he might leave in 3 years for the nfl after success at miami’. So it’s logical.

It sounds like Manny sold this narrative to certain BOT members who are now pushing it.
