The fck makes you think some other conference is going to treat us different?
I wouldn't mind being in the SEC.Thank God.
I'm sure you are right & the refs missed some calls that worked in our favor but it is a fact that the Carolina schools (Tobacco Road) control the ACC. Virginia is one notch beneath them in terms of exercising influence. I hate that we have to point to the bias of the Refs in the ACC, but it is 100% a factor. There will always be horrible calls against us (especially on the road at UNC & Duke) because dem good ole boys control the ACC conference. It is a fact. We just have to be much much better as a team so even the refs can't deny us.You all need to stop, I can show you many pictures of holds, and others that I can even see on TV and it was right in front of the Refs. So we just need to take care of business. That is all.

If we’re going to leave the ACC, the only other thing we can do is go Independent like the good old days.

While it may not be an organized "conspiracy", there is no doubt that UM does NOT get the benefit of calls in their games. We went the past couple of seasons with one of the most aggressive pass rushes, yet the number of offensive holding calls against our opponents was not even half of what is seen in an average game. We would continually have players with their jerseys pulled right off their shoulder pads, right in front of refs, and no call made. Even commentators on the broadcasts have pointed out the lack of calls at times. Meanwhile, we've had numerous long plays, runs by Walton, Yearby, Harris, that were potential game-changer plays, called back for "holds" that again, even the announcers often questioned. ****, look at that bowl game two years ago against Wisconsin. Cager's pants practically being pulled down as he tries to run his route, and no PI call, plus the defender then intercepted the ball...and that was in the end zone! That same game, Wisconsin's go ahead TD was made possible by a BLATANT holding with a ref right next to it, where the DE's jersey was almost ripped off....no call.To add to my previous post...
When you find yourself constantly *****ing about the refs... Find another sport...
**** happens. THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY...
Take your aluminum foil hat off.
We had a chance to go to the SEC and declined.
I remember that report. It only corroborated what many of us already knew. But that type of officiating has been with us since we were an independent. I sense it began after the Irish layed down during Faust's last game (with Ara and Musberger crying on the air).Well, . . . . . no. There was a study done on biased officiating and it discovered that ACC refs protect the basketball schools, thus costing FSU and UM wins with **** officiating. Other conferences protect their "brand" programs to help propel them to bigger bowls and the playoffs so the conference gets more $$$. So stop talking out of your ***.

If it happens on occasion, yes that's normal. But there is a pattern there that is undeniable.
The Big 12. Albeit there's a lot of good ol' boy referee's in that conference. Too bad the city of Miami isn't some where in the west ( Akin to Colorado University. ). Then Miami could be a part of the PAC-12. There's a lot of URBAN schools in that conference and football teams don't have to DEAL with those good ol' boy's and what not.
