ACC Scheduling Model

Per Clemson AD
July 24, 2020 (Zero Active Cases)
There have been over 800 tests of student athletes and staff. No active cases of COVID and no student athletes in isolation right now.

Clemson University athletic director Dan Radakovich said that everything remains on schedule to beginning football practice on Aug. 5.

Yeah, just so happens a month ago Clemson had roughly 1/3 (i think 37 players?) tested positive.

I would argue this schedule is actually way more exciting for us fans, even if there is more down time (aka, bye weeks).

It actually plays out like the right scenario for Miami to make a shocking run to the title like LSU did last year. They had an absolutely brutal schedule.
15 total games, beat 7 teams ranked in the top 10 at the time they played.

Texas #9
Florida #7
Auburn #9
Alabama #3
Georgia #4
Oklahoma #4
Clemson #3

If Ed Orgeron and LSU can do that, we can knock of ND and Clemson.

That’s why I said shameless. What an absolute embarrassment. I somehow think less of Swafford than I already did.

He’s absolutely clueless here and losing hand here... he has hand but wishes to kiss their a$$ for some reason. If he were to use just a little common sense here and have them entirely commit to the conference. This will obviously be predicated on allowing them to finish their nbc deal for a modest 25% of their earnings. It’s a win win for all parties if ND takes the deal. If not, ***** them and hold them to their current membership agreement.

Alright fellas. Who's getting the bonus for reworking all this scheduling nonsense?

Here is what I posted in another thread last week if they go conference +1 game (rivalry) since the SEC wants to keep its traditional rivalries (UGA-GT, FSU-UF, UK-UL):

If they do go with this model, it will solve the ND issue. ND already plays 6 ACC teams including Clemson, Louisville and GT. So remove Clemson, Louisville and GT since they play USCe, UK and UGA, and add 6 more ACC teams to their schedule (If possible). They may only need to add 5 ACC opponents if the SEC goes with this model since ND plays Arkansas this year and Arkansas doesn’t have an out of conference annual rivalry.

UNC is supposed to play Auburn, and NCST plays Miss St. this year so that takes care of all 4 teams out of conference game.

So add Miami, VT, Boston College, UVA, and Syracuse to ND’s schedule and call it a day. So they would be playing those teams along with Duke, Pitt, WF and Arkansas.

All ACC teams would now have a game against a power 5 team (including ND as one). Doesn’t seem so complicated to me. ACC should thank for me doing their work.

I just read an article where the ACC is considering letting ND play in the ACC Championship game. WTF?

Academically and geographically, USF or UCF would be a good addition and give us another in state rival.
Plus get a warm weather game for the season finale every year.
Like to keep all other state schools out of P5 ball. We have FSU and UF to beat back. That’s enough.

Perfect time to force Notre Dumb to join the ACC full time.If they insist on keeping all of their NBC money then I say tell them you have your 6 games as usual and it’s your problem to figure out the rest.

Giving in to these asses shouldn’t be up for debate unless they are willing to join full time with full revenue sharing..But as usual Swafford will give them their way and let them do as they please.
