You realize that legally, the school can't do that, right? Whether you collection of mouth breathers notice or not, Title IX still exists, which mandates that at least SOME of it has to go to the women's teams. In other words, while Football will most likely get the lion's share of the additional revenue, sports like rowing, women's hoops and other sports will see an infusion as well. By the way, people forget that the ACC money doesn't just go to Miami, schools like FSU, Clemson and others that are already ahead will get additional funding. The gap will still be there.

No University worth a **** "Invests" money into their athletic department outside of student fees(Which is slowly being phased out at a lot of places). What the Athletic Department earns, it gets to keep, period. Whether it is donations, revenue gained from other deals, whatever, that's money the goes directly into the athletic department pocket. It's amazing how many "Fans" lack basic knowledge on this subject. The problem is that even with infusions from places like Adidas and the ACC Network, Miami is still pulling in significantly less than a lot of our peers. Why? Because Miami happens to have a small donor pool, and a fanbase that is better at doing jackass stuff like flying banners, than putting money into the program. Even when times are good, even when things are going well, this fanbase sucks at writing checks. Miami lost money in 2001 despite winning national titles in TWO major sports.

Music school full tuition plus stipend scholarships for everyone!!! Make The University of Miami Great Again.....with each flute player from Strahng Iglahnd at a time! Show preference to kids that could actually afford to pay full tuition too.

No amount of pumping will have anyone excited about the ACC football season. They can probably sell Clemson but everyone else is trash and the nation knows it.

The ACC network's existence is really for the basketball conference (don't get it twisted) unless the ACC network is strictly covering football. That would be a horrible move because ain't NO ONE checking for Pitt or Duke football.

Back when they became the SEC homer the SEC wasn't the sec either. Bama wasn't even any good. Florida hadn't won squat. They lifted up the Kentucky, Ole Miss, SC etc programs.
