Just curious if anyone knows. Will ND get a smaller payout from ACC Network since their football isn’t in ACC? I would hope so.

I think they get a small cut. It was in another thread somewhere.

They don't share ACC network revenues or provide NON-ACC oponent content outside of the five games in ACC football play, and of course, their full time status in basketball and olympic sports.

ND has another arraingment with NBC dating back decades. I believe it started in 1991 and has been extended sevetal times through 2025ish.

If memory serves, ND shares zero NBC payout (~$15MM/yr) to include bowl appearance money.

I suppose the ACC values the Chicago market enough to allow this relationship with ND to continue.

Bad fit in my opinion.

Each ACC school is slated to get between $10-$15 mil per year from the network.

I believe Notre Douche gets a 20% share since it was determined that football is driving 80% of the network revenue.

I never realize how little basketball revenue really is. We have basically 2 big football schools in the ACC and one of them missed a bowl game last year and almost missed one the year before yet this still makes up 80% of the revenue. Even when we have basketball schools with huge followings like Duke, UNC, LOuisville, ND, Syracuse, UVA, etc.

What I've been saying for years. Basketball makes very little money. For almost every school, the only sport that makes money is football, and that revenue offsets the losses in every other sport.

It actually makes sense, I think. ND scheduling 5 ACC games adds a lot to the ACC pot, value wise. They contribute more than most other ACC teams. No one cares if Wake or UVA is playing on tv.

The fcking **** it does. This is just those dipshts convincing otherwise rational people to hand them money in return for showing up. They sucked for years and NBC kept on blowing them. It's retarded, but I find it real easy to believe that ND gets as much money as we do even though they aren't ACC members. I get that they're a draw, but fck them, they aren't worth it. No way we should be paying them that much to do us the favor or playing against us when it's convenient for them. It's like the ACC is E. Alabama ST. and ND is bama.

It’s business, not personal. The ACC wants Notre Dame playing its teams half the year, wants it in the conference otherwise, and is paying in part to try to be in position to swallow ND as a full member down the road.

Take the emotion out of and think rationally. This is about dollars and sense. They play 5 ACC opponents per year.

ND will drive massive ratings on the ACC network, even when they play wake forest. ND brings waaaaay more to the overall pot than say, Wake Forest or BC. When ND plays Miami, Clemson or FSU those games are major nationally televised events.

ND absolutely deserves a full cut.

No they don't. Frankly, ND had NOWHERE to go after the old Big East broke down. No other conference was willing to take the sucker play that ND pulled on the ACC. The B1G and the Big XII wouldn't admit ND unless they joined as a FULL member. ND gets to keep their NBC money, gets to pad their schedule with some ACC games(It's borderline impossible to have a schedule worth a **** as an independent now, because there aren't many independent programs left), and has a home for their basketball and non revenue sports programs. The ACC could and should have forced ND to join as a full member, but Swofford and the Tobacco Road Mafia were too busy jerking off to continuing their deal with Raycom to understand that they were being hoodwinked. ND needs the ACC far more than the ACC needs Notre Dame, and the current deal doesn't reflect that.

It's about money whether they are winning or losing ND is a big draw.TV networks only care about ratings and viewers that's what drives up the revenue.just having nd on the acc network will make it a financial success.just ask NBC they wouldn't keep nd on an exclusive contract if it wasn't a financial boom.

This is bs big12 and big10 courted nd hard when nd went shopping.

But guess what happened when the B1G and the Big XII said that ND had to join as full members? The talks broke down. Think about it, why would ND join the ACC if they had a similar offer from the B1G on the table? They are the epitome of a B1G conference school, they have built in rivalries with Purdue, Michigan and Michigan State, plus they would save a ton of money on travel for their non revenue sports. Why would they take the ACC deal, if they had anything better at the time? Answer is they wouldn't.
