MEGA ACC doing ACC Things.....The ACC Schedule Thread

Going forward, our non-conference schedule is going to suck in the years we don’t play ND until we get out of this conference. Only a matter of time until Auburn does what South Carolina did and cancels that series.

Next year…we play @ND.

Hardest non conference game in 2027 is at a neutral site against Utah.

2028 — @ND again. For some reason.

2029 — vs. Auburn (probably gets cancelled)

2030 — @ Auburn (see above)

2031 — @ND (for the 3rd straight game?) what a joke.
The Auburn games are not getting canceled. SC bailed because they play Clemson and the SEC went to 9 game schedules. Auburn doesn't have another Power 4 opponent and would be foolish to cancel us then go looking for one when so many teams already have their future schedules set in stone.

Opening with FSU at home would be fun
According to the FBS Schedules website, our season opener will either be against FSU, at UNC or at Stanford. Those are the only three ACC teams on our schedule that don't have a noncon game Week 1.

FSU plays Week 0. I kinda hope we are at Stanford week 1 gives us a lot of time to prepare for a west coast game.

Either that are start dominating the **** out of it

Not you but people that keep saying we need to leave it because it hurts our playoff chances I think losing games we shouldn’t is the bigger issue there
Agreed. I’m complaining more from a fan perspective. No one gets excited about an extra game against Duke or Syracuse. Playing teams like South Carolina make the season more entertaining.

we knew it was coming but like... given the sheer debacle this season with the tie-breaks you gotta just laugh, man.

*what do we do to fix the tie-breaks to ensure we get the best teams in our conference in the CG and the best shot to get to CFP?*

**add a ninth conference game and ensure 5/17 teams only play eight conference games!**

fawking FUNNY

hope this program maintains their ACC conference title virginity de por vida while adding some more nattys to the mantle.

Go Canes

I’m with ya there. The scheduling is…well it speaks for itself

But with the way the conferences are going anyway it’s gonna be weird no matter what

At the very least, Clemson and FSU should be looking to add an extra OOCG that is worth a ****.

It would be awful if this comes into play at the end of the year for the Conference Championship game.

Why I said we likely can lose only 1 game next year and it can’t be a conference game.
Well, Clemson is playing LSU and South Carolina so that should cover it.

Isn't FSU playing Bama and Florida OOC in 2026?

We need to leave because the conference sucks and money. We help our playoff chances if we stop losing games we shouldn't.

Let's do both.

I’m baffled at the complaining about this. It’s been going on for 6 years now. Why did nobody care until now? UNC/Wake/State/UVA made the agreement to keep alive rivalries. If we had multiple conference rivals and didn’t get to play them every year bc of expansion, would you not want to play them even if it didn’t count as a conference game?
It’s always been a stupid rule lol. No one complained about it because it’s never come into play where it effected the outcome of the conference championship game lol.
