ACC Coastal

Remember the ol' ACC Wheel of Destiny? We need one for just the Coastal--fuggin' toss up tbh.

It just defies logic. And the sooner people realize that, the better.

For example, the same Kansas State team that lost to Tulane, has beaten Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Missouri — the same Missouri team that should have beaten Georgia last night…..and that Kansas State crushed by 30.

CFB just doesn’t make sense, and I think a lot of it has to do with the amateurism of the sport.

I’m not excusing our loss to MTSU — it was God awful and everyone needs to be held accountable, but if anyone is going to sit here and tell me that we don’t stand a chance against a team like UNC, you’re out of your mind.

I mean, sure — if we get the same version of Miami that showed up against MTSU, then ya, we’ll get destroyed. But I doubt we get that version; I just don’t know what version we get. Time will tell.
I understand what you mean about the MTSU game

Over the years being so disgusted watching Miami week in and week out I found myself watching a lot of other games

You get to see some programs doing some things that are unique, trying to bridge the talent gaps, it’s not sustainable practices but the games in college are about matchups

Wouldn’t shock me if we stomp UNC this weekend. Wouldn’t shock me if they stomp us. I’ve just seen too much at this point to think one week translates to the next

Also why I still love college ball despite our terrible performances the last 15 years

I said a bunch of times this off-season that I thought I would start to get an idea of who we were after the UNC game

I still kinda feel that way

I mean this is the same Pitt team who almost beat a top 10 ranked Tennessee. To echo what @OrangeBowlMagic is saying, this sport is volatile.

There are like 5 different versions of each team and you never know which version you’re going to get — that goes for both you and your opponent.
Actually outplayed Tenn but you know who corched it up...Nardouchey

I keep seeing that big blue D down the schedule and I'm a little shook. That team is probably the top of this weak assed division. Is this Dukes year with first year head coach Mike Elko? I got them down as one this years 5 losses. We don't have (or necessarily need) a thread about Duke but that Oct. 22 game is going to be a longer night than this UNC one.

FFS.....

Say what you want about Duke. We've been spoiled for the last 13 or so years playing a Cutcliff-coached team. Under Elko, Duke looks pretty solid and that @KU loss (which was pretty close in matchup) looks less bad the more KU wins and shows they are playoff bound.

Is it really a Hot Take to say that Duke is a better team than UNC right now?
