Is this the worst CoRstal ever?

I’m thinking off the top of my head that it has to be.

I mean this is the same Pitt team who almost beat a top 10 ranked Tennessee. To echo what @OrangeBowlMagic is saying, this sport is volatile.

There are like 5 different versions of each team and you never know which version you’re going to get — that goes for both you and your opponent.
Totally agree

I think they’re a solid team and “any given Saturday” is definitely a thing

**** if people didn’t believe it before, I would certainly think this season would be proving it

It just defies logic. And the sooner people realize that, the better.

For example, the same Kansas State team that lost to Tulane, has beaten Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Missouri — the same Missouri team that should have beaten Georgia last night…..and that Kansas State crushed by 30.

CFB just doesn’t make sense, and I think a lot of it has to do with the amateurism of the sport.

I’m not excusing our loss to MTSU — it was God awful and everyone needs to be held accountable, but if anyone is going to sit here and tell me that we don’t stand a chance against a team like UNC, you’re out of your mind.

I mean, sure — if we get the same version of Miami that showed up against MTSU, then ya, we’ll get destroyed. But I doubt we get that version; I just don’t know what version we get. Time will tell.

I've been saying for a long time that our attendance issues are largely driven by the fact that we play in one of the worst divisions in college football. It cannot be understated.

Too early to tell but in 2018 Pitt won it going 7-6 (6-2) lol No team won more than 7 games in the division that year. We finished third going 7-5 (4-4).

2012 another gem with 6-6 GT winning. We finished 3rd that year also.

And we beat Pitt last game of the regular season after they mailed it in after clinching

Meanwhile:

You're right. That B1G 10 West division might give us a run for worst division in P5. Here are their overall records for the year.

Illinois: 4-1
Minnesota: 4-1 (They were ranked #21 at last poll. Will surely drop out of top 25 after yesterday's loss)
Purdue: 3-2
Iowa: 3-2
Wisconsin: 2-3
Nebraska: 2-3
Northwestern: 1-4

The coastal always sucks. It's really embarrassing we've only won it once in 15 years

... 17 years, but who's counting (2005-2021)—as well as losing a shot at winning the ACC outright in 2004 when falling 16-10 to Virginia Tech at home in the season finale.

Honestly if we find a way to beat UNC we would be in the drivers seat for the Coastal because there will be a bunch of 5-3 tied teams.
