ACC Championship Game Path

The ACC tiebreaker does not apply a straight head-to-head if not all tied teams played each other; instead, it proceeds to compare the teams' records against common opponents and then other criteria. The process starts by examining the win percentage in games between the tied teams, but if they don't all play each other, the next steps are to compare records against common opponents or consider other metrics.

Our only shot is to be involved in a multi-team tie-breaker, and, for GT to lose.
Good looking out; didn’t peep that

Six "IN" (reasonable) scenarios below.

Careful who you root for.
In one case, I selected Cal to beat SMU. We were out.
When I switched SMU to beat Cal, we were in. In because it bettered our opponent percentage.
Actually, we'll have to root for SMU, if Cal beats Stanford.

So by Friday we will be down to 3 based off the UL/Clemson game and could be out by 8pm tomorrow if UNC beats Wake.

Feel crazy asking this, but why don’t we just use computers? It’s 2025 for god sakes. Figure out the weights and rank em. Only rule is max and min per conf and go from there.

We're bumped only in scenario 3.
So add 5 more to the tally.

Everything should be easier to forecast by Sunday. Not just ACC but CFP.

There is an insane path that gets us in by Sunday.
Pitt over ND (this really helps us as it removes ND if we can win out)
UGA over UT (this isn't as important as UT still plays Texas A&M)
Bama over OU (we need OU with 3, IMO)
TCU over BYU (we need BYU with 2 as it insures one B12 team)

Key- win out with big margins

2017 vibes, not getting my hopes up
I hear ya but the 2017 team was some smoke and mirrors. I know the ND game but that was a magical night. We weren’t anywhere close to Clemson and it showed when we played them

This team is playing beneath its talent level at the moment where that team was playing above it most of the year imo

Probably what’s most frustrating. We are our worst enemy right now and there’s not a team in the country that could beat us 38-3 like Clemson did that year

Disregard if I totally missed your point

You're right no one beats us by more than two scores. Saw a stat today that we haven't lost by more than a TD in 26 games which is wild but makes sense. We usually lose in stupid/heartbreaking fashion not a blow out. Just not sure if I believe in the staff to not be stubborn, not sure they can galvanize the team. Hope I'm wrong but we need to correct things and handle business.

CIS does not use that type of artificial intelligence.

Duke losing to wake is possible if mensah has a bad game. Manny can make ashford look like taysom hill

What’s even more hilarious is this could literally all be done by the time we kickoff against Pitt.

Imagine us actually winning the next 2 only to have a win and you’re in game at Pitt 😂 😂
It would be the most Miami thing ever to have everything unfold the way we need it to just to fall on our face against Pitt.

Just win our remaining games and then shake our fists angrily at the stupid new Conference system that's replaced the Division system.
