They are talking about through the end of the calendar year which ends in the summer months not for fall 2020 which is the start of the 2020-2021 academic year

Season will probably be pushed back to start on the 3rd or 4th week of September imo

There is still time to delete this

Changed headline.

Sorry.

I fūcking freaked. I can’t go without football.

Not going to lie - I’m shook about the upcoming season, and I hardly ever get shook about anything.

Somebody tell me everything is going to be OK with respect to the season.

Same here man. I am also depressed they canceled march Madness. I never imagined a world without March madness. The college season shouldn’t be cancelled but I have been praying every day

This means no practice until when? I don’t have an academic calendar in front of me.

Yes, but you typed "early August" in your subject line, and you went to college. Certainly you are aware that colleges start the fall semester any time from mid-August to early September, and that games are not played until that time.

And some colleges start the first week in August. I’m still not sure what your point is.

Also practices are usually started before the start of the semester. Is that going to be the case - just exactly what are they going to do about practice. Or do you not want me to ask those questions

No practices means IF there is a 2020 season, we will be competing against unprepared teams that arent used to playing in empty stadiums. Miami has the enormous advantage of almost 20 years of experience fielding unprepared teams in empty stadiums. We're ahead of the curve for once. I'm calling it now. 2020 Champions

Big challenge for our guys living in the dorms on campus. As of today, the University is requesting all students vacate campus by 3/25. If you cannot remove all your belongings from the dorms by that date, you have to file a request for extension on line. You then have until May 8th. All our EEs live on campus, as well as some of the others.

I assume the football department will help them move off campus at some point.

Also, the academic year ends May 8th. Summer sessions start approximately 2 weeks after that. Nothing said about that yet.
