ACC 2027 verbal commit team ranking so far

Louisville could legitimately be 12-0 if and when they meet us in the ACC championship. Their only game I see them losing is Ole Miss in the opener, and that’s not a given since anything can happen in week 1.

I want that scenario. I live in KY, so I deal with these clowns occasionally. If they’re undefeated going into this game, they’ll be feeling themselves to the point of busting a load. It would be fun to kick them off their high horse so they can watch our playoff run (again) while they prepare for the Poptarts Bowl.

A lot of hype about Lincoln at quarterback; slightly reminiscent to how people talked about Joe Burrow when he left.

We’ll see about all that lol. It should be noted that he was committed to DeBoer & Grubb at Washington originally

They signed a QB I thought looked like a big problem down the road (Briggs Cherry)

Clemson has won 4 major head-to-head battles against UGA. If they secure Seth Williams, it’ll be a sweep.

If UGA gets Seth, Poole probably goes to FSU. If not, he’ll likely have a spot at UGA. Clemson didn’t prioritize him.

UGA got 4 safeties last year so not the end of the world, but they’re getting their face smushed in this cycle by Clemson/Auburn/FSU/Miami/UCLA with their DBs. Seth Williams chooses between Clemson and UGA next week iirc.

Somehow, FSU does not have a OL recruit committed yet.

dont think uga was a real factor...kid wanted to come here n got beat to the punch.

him n zakari johnson are wo great pickups for the,m....now an they hold on to them after their season unravels coming up

Yeah you’re right, i feel like UGA coming in late (and us too) kinda showed he wasn’t a priority for either school. I just peeped that UGA is supposed to get their safety tomorrow

TBH, even Tennessee and Clemson look like they passed on this kid, despite their OVs, which is kinda odd for such a highly touted kid. Similar to that KJ Caldwell kid who wanted to commit here but ended up at NC State.

Clemson passed as well.

He wasnt a UGA priority.

This is high level recruiting when this type isnt a priority for us. Hes a take in most years. Hyppolite and Jones are just A+ Home town kids.

Why would Clemson pass ?

And about to get their third safety committed in Seth williams, a former Clemson commit who is projected to recommit soon.

Burrow had a whole year of mid before he broke out in 2019 and lets not act like having 3 elite wideouts didnt aid in that. Brohm will get the most out of the kid but he will still play like a 1st year starter and probably cost them a game or two.

It did but those guys are all HOFs (sans Marshall; including Burrow) on their own strength….and those WRs were apart of the team in 2018 when Burrow was struggling. As was the first round running back who went to the chiefs. The biggest difference is continuity and chemistry, as Burrow spent the ‘18 spring at OSU, and Joe Brady wasn’t on the staff in 2018.

But yeah you’re correct about the pitfalls of first year starters. Burrow went 11 for 24 for 140 yards w/ no tds or ints against us in his first start. Hypothetically speaking we would be seeing a much improved, more experienced version of Lincoln in December.

Lincoln went through spring practice at Louisville. Anyways, what standouts the most about Louisville’s potential is their running game; Lincoln brings an additive element as he is a true dual-threat which is unique for Brohm who has never coached a guy like that as OC/HC.

Tyler Shough ran a 4.6 but he wasn’t actively using his legs move the chains forward. Lincoln is a multi-sport athlete who can actually scramble well.

SMU is picking up (some) speed in their 2028 and 2027 classes. Flipped a DB from Arizona State and picked up two defensive players in ‘28. For them to assert themselves on a national stage from the ACC, they need to get better on defense and have some name brand players / identity to point to.

We have at least four more seasons so should be interesting how things transpire as we move forward.
