Academics: Harvard of the south? Or just South Florida...

Al used to tout that "highest institution in the state of Florida" speech. Now he can say, "We're tied with Florida in academics right now, but look at my fancy orange tie."
 
You do realize that there are over 4500 university/ colleges in the US correct? So I think 48 is pretty **** respectable.

tied at 48 nothing special , Miami will never be known as a school of academics that was some kind of dream of Shalala and she failed like she did as school president. What she known for is being a politician thief who should of been fired on the spot for taking money and letting the rat hang around

Listen i think there are ridiculous things about Miami and the admin, and harvard it will never be.

But some of you are just so stupid the other way too. there are 4000 universities in this country.... top 50 is not a joke.

There are 116 i think football programs. and top top is exciting.

Not making excuses, but lulz at people writing off any top 50 educational school, even if its not harvard.
 
It'll drop as Shalala has gotten the school into massive debt and tied all our cash reserves into UHealth that isn't giving us the returns we need to survive.

Idiots will say the drops came because she left, when she's the cause of it all.
 
Looking at the cost of tuition for both UM and Harvard, looks like a ripoff. Wonder how many Harvard grads are working at NASA?

Has anyone done a study to see how many Harvard grads actually get to cash in big on that diploma?
