Absolutely mindblowing - Coach D nominee for Broyles award

Guys ******* relax. The nomination process is any HC can nominate an assistant on his staff. Way to go al.


the bigger issue is this means to me less likely than we even thought of Al making a change there, even if we want Al gone period.

Is golden allowed to nominate him? I'm not sure of the voting process. If each hc was supposed to nominate someone on their staff, there would've been 120 nominees, no?

each HC can nominate someone on staff. The committee reviews.

Soon as they **** themselves by reading Doritos name they will then look at serious nominees.
 
Jimbo probably nominated him in hopes miami would continue this horrific defensive scheme

The last two years it would've been mind blowing to see him nominated. This year the D is in the top 20, so it's not a shock to me to see his name on the list. He won't WIN the award. That might be mind blowing.

This Man has no bizness being anywhere near this list. He sucks. Miami doesn't have a true top 20 defense I don't care what the numbers say.
 
Nomination for these useless (IMO) awards is mostly stats driven. The defense going from 89th to 15th in one year will get him on the list. He won't win it of course, because when they select a winner they will look deeper than the numbers. Nothing to get excited about.

But, keep this nomination in mind the next time you read some coach's bio. Don't be fooled by this stuff. There are probably many many coaches out there with bogus awards and nominations. Be like the final selection committee and look deeper.
 
We've held pretty much every team we've played under their offensive averages, and our schedule has been plenty tough for our numbers to not be inflated by a weak schedule. The numbers are real. However, the last game was pathetic, and like I said, he's NOT winning the award.

There should be a bylaw in the nomination process that states that said nomination is instantly rescinded if one can establish that no less than 15 independent threads were created within 72 hours of nomination being made public asking "Is this real life?!". The standard could be applied to future Nobel Peace Prizes as well.

Nobel Peace Prize has less meaning than those bogus football awards.
 
4 out of 5 losses were double digit. The GT loss alone should strike him from that list, along with the FSU 2nd half. All dominant defensive performances were against the ****tiest of the ******, except for FSU 1st half.

In other words, it's a joke.
