Yep. I basically want nothing to do with UM.

Blake James is such an embarrassment, I honestly think that I would punch him in the face if I saw him in person
 
Well I am sorry you are having such a tough time in the work world I attended and graduated from UM with an engineering degree and had a very successful career. Currently retired. The University has long since improved its academics and status from when I left school. It's regarded as one of the better schools academically. It is true that UM does prioritize academics over sports and I would think that most graduates would want it that way. Maybe you should have majored in sports and attended FSU.

Eh, I went to the University of Miami and I can tell you the quality of education provided in the engineering school is quite similar to the quality of football being played.

I am trying to work with the university to change that but they are quite stuck in their ways... just like our athletic department.

The state of the football program is an absolute laughingstock. I cannot recall ever seeing a time in College Football where you have a coach who is so far in over his head and so unhappy, yet the University Administration and BOT keep said individual employed to save a few bucks on a buyout and because they are completely apathetic to a rich history of success.

Every day that goes by, the situation gets more and more toxic.

And then you have shlt like "Fire Al Golden" signs being taken away from fans at basketball games and rising stars in the media industry like Pete (someone who attends UM) being shunned from interacting with the team.

UM would rather associate with people like Laz, a convicted felon who hasn't stepped foot inside a UM classroom, but stick their nose up at a student like Ariz.

It's despicable behavior. The school spits in the faces of alumni.

I despise Donna Shalala and what she turned the program into.

I despise the BOT for trustees for showing no appreciation for not only the past success of the program, but also for being completely ignorant toward how a thriving football program can help contribute to the progress of UM.

I despise Blake James for being a pvssy that is married to a man.

I despise having to "share" this fanbase with braindead idiots like Brock and #Canesfam .

I've tried considered myself a proud UM guy; not anymore.

Im proud UM fan, I have emailed over 150 times, around 50 phone calls,I even had the security dude call me and told me to chill out, I was shocked!!! He asked me if I said I was going to destroy THE U, ( I SAID YES ) I TOLD THEM I WOULD BE GLADLY TO HELP DESTROY THE U WITH THEM SO WE CAN GET IT DONE AND OVER WITH... he laughed..... I told him I just wanted to help them do it.....

UM is garbage and always has been. Somehow they manage to find the most incompetent people on the planet to run this place every time they make a hire. It has always been that way in Coral Gables. It was AWFUL when I went there and it is awful now. Nothing's changed. As far as the athletic department goes, it mirrors the situation at every other place at the school. Look at it this way: The ANSWER to the football team's woes is RIGHT SMACK in front of them and they want to hire some "compadre" simply because of his ethnicity and former ties to the school. (You want Miami ties, so has the ANSWER! EVERYONE'S TELLING YOU TO HIRE HIM and instead we'll get this BUM who failed at FIU!)

I wish I had transferred to Maryland or GWU when I had the chance as a junior. I just didn't want to deal with the lousy weather at home. Big mistake on my part. Embarrassed now to say my degree comes from this rat hole!
