Listen to the last 10 minutes. The take down of FSU is so cold. Lake goes through a thorough analysis.

Highlights-
Miami is just hard to beat. Every team Miami has played has had their worst outing of the year.
He wishes the game would be close because of the rivalry. The rivalry does matter but FSU is nowhere near the standard of talent they need.
FSU is caught in a vicious cycle of LAZY high school recruiting with no development and being too portal development.

The NFL draft says it all. In year 6, Norvell has produced to NFL draft picks who were high school signees.

The portal churn is a slight positive but they have guys who left in the portal who are contributing at better teams- Pat Peyton, Marvin Jones, Malik Benson, some guy at Illinois, TJ Ferguson, Omarion Hampton, Byron Turner, etc.

FSU has a Power 4 budget but operates like a G5 program. G5 staff and schemes that are hard to recruit elite talent to. No WR wants to play in that system. 3-3-5, no elite lineman wants to play in that system.

They overpay for transfers because they're caught up in this portal churn. Paying for players who have no business playing for FSU.

FSU exploited a portal inefficiency back in 2022 but everyone does it now.

Miami has homegrown talent- Bain, Frances, OJ, Bryce and recruits at an elite level. FSU has had excuses since the COVID year.

FSU is 47-43 since Jimbo left. Norvell is 1-9 last 10 ACC games. The FSU staff doesn't scare the Miami regime at all.

FSU is in a mess like we were when Jimbo was at FSU. The rest of the season will be interesting because FSU's defense isn't any good.

Brutal take down. People don't realize how subpar their recruiting is. Look at their football staff - excluding coordinators, they have MAYBE 2-3 decent recruiters. They have 3 old heads who probably don't recruit much.

I put this in the tears thread because it was soooooo hilarious but fsu guys had come to jesus moment also and we helped them see the light..

If anyone wants to laugh their *** off, these same guys last week were saying it would be close and they would win.. They rewatched the film and for the entire video but especially first 5 minutes talk about after watching film they came to the realization that the game was never close, it was over at half time and the talent is not anywhere near the same, its like they just realized the talent Norvell is bringing in is not even close to competing level..

:ibis-roflmao-sm3:
:s6ebnxo:

I can see the wheels coming off FSU. Once the rest of the team gets tired of hearing their loudmouth QB yap while they are getting whooped, it could turn ugly in a hurry.

That Alabama win and the two cream puffs that followed were fool's gold.

Yea, we've been through this... The fans who jump ship first are usually unapologetically and unemotionally honest.

I often post these after an FSU loss, they're gold. I've referenced it in a few threads.

I know Jeff personally, he is the literal "professional" voice of FSU athletics. He's been on the radio in Tallahassee for 20 years, and he's got a very big following in that fanbase. And while he's a homer, as most are in this spot, he keeps it real. Listen to all of this, most of it is pure gold.

Like almost everyone else, he makes it a point, over and over, to say fsu had zero chance to win this game and Miami is significantly better. Amongst 500 other wonderful things.

All you need to do is listen to the first twenty minutes...Oof! He pulls no punches.

Geez, all this reminds me of that line from 'Gung Ho' when Michael Keaton got out of that car that fell apart and goes, ''I dont know about you, but I thought it ran GREAT!!!"

Buddy of mine is a Noles fan, chatted it up after the game.

"Miami is scary. They didn't win with style points and dominated us for three quarters. That fourth was a fluke."

Cristobal isn't much better (he's 13-12, 7-2 in the last 9).

I'd highlight that Norvell is 1-9 against the ACC in his last 10 games rather than the overall record

Cristobal has played 25 ACC games, Norvell 42. And Cristobal has 7 less wins.

So Mario would have to go 7-10 in his next 17 ACC games to have the same record as Mike. I'll go out on a limb and say he does better than that over the rest of this season and next.

How can someone look at 2 w/l records and not figure out that front-loaded losses doesn’t mean the same thing as back-loaded losses?
