This weiner is too big.he’s had us ready for 2 years with big games but the hesitation is will this moment be too big? I don’t think it will be for our QB and I can’t say the same for theirs.
Whenever I hear a "pundit" say they can't trust Mario in big games, that's the sign to tune them out. Mario actually is really good in big games. We're 4-0 vs ranked teams this year. I heard one reporter say, even if Miami beat Texas A&M he couldn't imagine Mario ever beating Ryan Day- which obviously means he hasn't spent much time analyzing the 2 teams.
Everyone knows, his problem is getting the team ready for lesser teams.
If these pundits are the same ones saying FSU is back after beating Bama, you know they're just parroting what they heard some other ignorant person say.Whenever I hear a "pundit" say they can't trust Mario in big games, that's the sign to tune them out. Big games are usually tight games.it's not BIG games..
it's TIGHT games.....
The problem was the bye week, game, bye week. One game in 27 days was brutal as the team was still figuring things out. I think we saw the best version the last few weeks of the season.Mario's problem isn't the big games. It's the other ones. I will say, the break does give me a little concern, as we have had problems coming out of bye weeks.
our big games this year were not tight.. a lot of our big games with Mario have not been.. UF last year also...Big games are usually tight games.
Sept is Mario Szn. "Big games when the season is on the line" is probably the phrase they should've used. Utah 2x, Syracuse, SMU... but he does have Pitt, and the Rose Bowl"And he did it in Ohio Stadium, without two of his best defensive players -- injured defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux and freshman linebacker Justin Flowe -- before a crowd of 100,482 mainly unforgiving Buckeyes fans. Cristobal said the magnitude of the win was hard to express in words, but "it's a testament to the process."
re: Cristobal in big games
Exactly!!!Isn't Mario 1-0 vs. Ryan Day?!?!
I think offensively the coaches realized that we cant just lineup and try to play bully ball all game. Since that game we have seen far more creativity out of the offense. More misdirection, more play actions, more outside runs.Something clicked in that SMU game. Im a firm believer this is a team that is better than the team that even beat ND to start the year.
Miami’s playoffs started 4 games ago, and it’s been survive and advance since. You see Mario at the Pitt game? That MFer having fun, calling timeouts at the end of the half with a double digit leads to get the ball back. If that **** is PERMANENT, then we in for a day. Don’t take your foot off the gas
Agreed, sometimes it takes getting backed into a corner to find out what you truly got.I think offensively the coaches realized that we cant just lineup and try to play bully ball all game. Loose always better than tightit's not BIG games..
it's TIGHT games.....
