But there’s no excuses for the lack of finishing by this team. This game reminded me of the GT game from Manny’s first year. Miami left so much out there. A decently coached team with this roster rolls App State.

King looks rough throwing the ball. It also doesn’t help that Lashlee only calls simple passes to the TE in the flat that everyone knows is coming. Lashlee also must not know what an outside run is. He called one all game, I think at least, and Cam went for like 20 yards. There’s no creativity in his run calls.

Mallory plays softer than charmin too. Just way too many issues on the offensive side of the ball right now.

Plus Patke ain’t worth sh*t. Dude can’t coach LBs or STs. He’s lucky the Borregales family had two sons and Hartley pulled Hedley. Dude is the second biggest fraud on the sidelines every week.

Hopefully these issues can be corrected before 12 Noon next Saturday or it’ll be UGLY.

May be the least talented Miami team since the 70s. Seriously, other than Chaney and a GA transfer, we pretty much have scrubs. Glenn Cook would stand out on this defense.

Someone should insist Lashlee gets some neurological tests. Seriously, something ain’t right.

FSU and Miami are in a race to the cliff’s edge, both led by broke-knee 8th year senior QBs.

A player we had, and the coach we could’ve had, just beat OSU on the road and their squad is now a favorite to make the playoffs.

That’s a bit extreme for me. All in all the defense didn’t play that bad. 350 yards given up. Spent 35 minutes on the field, only gave up 16 points. 33% third conversion. They did what they needed to do win this game. The offense caused this tonight. I’d bet after a rewatch a ton of play where left on the field. King isn’t in the right headspace right now. I know at least one play where either Rambo or Smith blew by the DB on them. Wide open. King checked down. Something’s off there.

This wasn’t a talent issue today, it was purely executional.

Also I’ve been on the Cristobal train since he was the OL coach at Bama. Too bad at this point he’s pretty much untouchable until Bama opens.

Take a look at the domers. They made the playoffs last year and their fans are calling for Kellys head because he barely beat Toledo.

OK with a few hours to calm down I'll say this - the defense only gave up 15 points. Yes, it was horrible to watch and if app state WRs could catch, they could have had two more TDs, but it is what it is. Offense is a massive, massive problem. IMO, it's a bigger concern than the D, by far. A FCS team scored more points on Bama than Miami. Justice has recruited zero linemen. Likens is failing as well, our upperclassmen WRs can't catch anything. Diaz either needs to figure out a way to get more out of his offensive staff or he needs to clean house again (I am assuming he makes it to the 2022 season)

Butch Davis is at FIU with G5 talent (mostly 2-Star players), and he beat the brakes off of Danny Miaz.

Mario couldn’t win big at FIU either. Hmmm…I wonder why. He goes out west and has 2 Conference titles, a Rose Bowl win, and beat Ohio State on the road today while missing 5 starters on defense, including his best 2.

Now, I’m not saying that Mario is the greatest coach ever, but he is far greater than Manolo, and Butch is tons better, too. You give Butch our caliber of players, and there’s zero chance that we look like this against App St.

Again, Butch has a team full of 2-Stars. We have a team full of 4-Star and high 3-Star players, with a few 5-Star players sprinkled in. There is zero comparison between the quality of players that Butch has on his team and ours.
