A Way Too Early Hypothetical Question

If we’re playing for the natty this year, I’m 100 % making it to the parking lot to tailgate. If I get into the stadium, that would be a huge bonus. If I can’t swing a ticket, we’ll just watch the game on TV in the parking lot with the roar of the crowd behind us!
This is a great alternative idea. Keeping this in my back pocket. Thanks!

Been playing some mental gymnastics and curious how much money I would be open to spending to attend a Championship game IF Miami would make it.

Two questions -

It's been over 20 years, Is it a MUST attend for you at whatever cost (MORTGAGE THE HOUSE)?!?! If so, how much are you willing to spend?

BYE week kinda thoughts over here.

Currently, the 2025 CFP National Championship’s most affordable tickets start at $1,350, while prime lower-bowl seats are listed at $1,750. On Ticketmaster, the lowest admission price is approximately $1,500. However, the cost remains volatile and could either double or drop significantly as kickoff nears.

Tickets can be purchased through multiple platforms, including secondary sellers like StubHub, SeatGeek, and Vivid Seats. For example, Vivid Seats lists the cheapest option at $1,451.

Rose bowl tickets were 250
Fiesta were 300
I bought them scalped at game

Obviously one was a geeat
Memory
Other was a f ing nightmare

Is say now the price is prob 2-3 times more

My son will be 4 at the time, I’ve gotta bring him if I go right? I would feel bad if looking back on it I didn’t lol

Risk aversion does not flow strong in your blood. Unfortunately, it does for me lol Scalped tickets in this day and age with everything easily digitized would freak me out, though it sounds like a good deal

thanks for looking that up. So what's your all in number?? Budget 5k for two tickets?

It’ll largely depend on who we play. If by some miracle we face Indiana, I would expect a sizable price haircut, maybe 50%, than if we were to play Ohio State. They don’t travel well, it’s not an overly wealthy alumni base, etc.

Good point. Though i'd argue the fan section at the Oregon game looked the part.

I’d be in for 2k for decent tickets.

I got mine for face through the Hurricane Club the last 2 times at the Rose and Fiesta, I'm not sure i am getting that lucky again at my level even though I've been a 26 year member.

I booked a hotel and flights on points already, those are easy to cancel with no fees up to a few days before

I would go up to 2K for decent seats. That is what I did for World Series tickets a few year ago

These are going to be especially elevated prices if Miami makes it because of it being a home game. So many local people can put all their budget into tickets if they don't have to pay for travel

Booking the travel soon, I think I'm also going to budget about 2kper but assuming I'll need two tickets so 4k all in. If that won't be enough, I'll try the tailgate suggestion from above.

It would be very tempting to go (although not at that expense).

Miami has never lost a game that I attended. Somehow that streak extended through football, basketball, and baseball.

I was thinking it would be dope to have a parking lot by the stadium for the game. Cause if I can't get in the stadium gahh damnit I'm driving down to watch in the parking lot for the natty !!

The other thing you consider is that there would be playoff game(s) first before we get there. Do you plan on going to any of those as well?
