63%. That was Jarren’s completion percentage, in very difficult circumstances.

A Miami QB hasn’t gone over 60% and 200 yards against a P5 team since October 2017. Miami’s completion percentage last year (50%) was third worst in all of P5, ahead of only Rutgers and Georgia Tech.

One of the highlights of Enos’s resume is that he boosted Brandon Allen’s completion percentage by ten points at Arkansas. If the first game and the scrimmages are any indication, I expect this year to be a similar jump. And if the ball is not hitting the ground, our athletes will eventually break a tackle and make a play.

He was very accurate and most every throw was under duress and in a filthy pocket. Not sure how much I’d credit Enos for the completion percentage going up, as Jarren had nothing to do with last year’s abysmal percentage.

I’m still hopeful for Jarren and the offense if we can improve the Tackle situation from diarrhea to firm stool.

The kid looked great, all things considered. Needs to work on getting rid of the ball and living to fight another down...but he'll learn that in time.

Mind boggling we didn't keep TE's in to block to help the OT's and give this kid more time to carve them up.
Mallory got destroyed whenever he tried to block. It's tough having Brevin try to block because he's our best offensive weapon. Our receivers are not as reliable as they should be. I think it's why Martell got so many snaps. We desperately need someone to emerge.

Imagine what will happen when Jarren takes the next step : getting the ball out quicker, altering snap counts and cadence, learning when to take off and run or throw the ball away....

I expect to see some changes this week from Enos and Barry to help both Jarren and the OL take another step forward...

Yeah amazing stat I liked it to. Jarren was poised and the penalties and playing behind the sticks hurt. Taking your check down on 1st/2nd and 10
is a lot easier than taking it on 1st/2nd and 15-20.

He will learn in time that those are good plays.

He should have had about 5 more attempts that should have been incompletions if he flushes the ball in to the dirt to avoid some of those sacks.

But yeah, he played tough in very challenging circumstances and just kept fighting. He’s going to learn a lot the next few days, no time to rest, kid, study that film and then perfect what you learned on the field. Need to see a big jump in two weeks.

Before we crown Jarren as one of the greats we need to see a little bit more from him in big game scenarios. Years back everyone was also claiming Kyle Wright was the next Jim Kelly after his first game. Now I’m not saying Jarren is Kyle Wright all I am saying is it was a good first game and considering he was running for his life.

Rick got paid $4 million/yr to also recruit the right players yet we are still starting 2 true fr. OTs I’m just tired of the same old storylines.

I agree that he should've thrown more of them away, but my main take away on this kid is that he is extremely accurate. The pass that he threw to JT in the end zone was perfect and the one he threw to Jordan on the picked up PI was in a spot between two defenders where only he had a play on the ball.

that away the drops. see how high his percentage was. he barely made a bad throw.

When I say “keep a te into block”, I’m not referring to Mallory or Jordan. To me this was a game where Irvin should have been used in that role
