Collin McCarthy. Why does he need to be white? I’ll take any bad *** lb at this point. Maybe we will have somebody step up this year and Wiley will be that man next year.

Supposedly our new DC runs a more simplified defense. Our last 2 DC’s ran an unorganized chaos (Diaz/Baker) and exotic disguises/scheme (Guidry). Those defensive philosophy’s took our Lb’s out of the equation and put too much responsibility on them. Let’s see if Hearherman can make things easier for them.

The plan with Santana was always to skirt the scholarship restrictions at the time by having him on a track scholarship (he was a legit track star) and have him "walk on" for football. The NCAA has since tightened restrictions on doing that.
