For @DMoney and the young buck @Trinton Breeze ...

Might there be (separate or combo) forthcoming articles on (a) any remaining high school kids who might be committing on Old-Fashioned National Signing Day, and (b) any remaining Portal guys who might sign and enroll later in the year, and for which Miami has shown some interest.

I realize that there might also be soon-to-graduate Grad Transfers and soon-to-be-litigating underclassmen who decide to challenge the new Portal rules in court this summer, but those guys would probably be highly speculative at this point.

Thanks in advance!

What about that monster DT out of La, Dylan Berryman? He seems like someone who is physically ready to go right now. D Lew could probably do wonders with this kids technique

I don’t think anybody fits that category for UM, but we will dig. We are looking for D2 offensive linemen for depth.

I appreciate you, @DMoney ! I just know that Mario isn't done, and I was looking for a discussion of what's left on the open market.

Some D2/FCS Olineman:

- Mason Bowers - Charlotte. 22 starts, seems like has potentially elite athleticism at 6'4" 310lbs. Kinda bad pff grades OVERALL, but played both OT spots in 2024 and then in 25 played rt and rg. Here is the KEY that combined with his athletecism makes this interesting - In 2025 in 4 games at RT he had pass block grades of 55, 35, 52, 32... BUT THEN he moved to RG and his next 7 games his pass block grade was 76, 81, 84, 83, 58, 82, 84... so quite good... So clearly maybe this dude is simply just a Guard and was playing out of place for 1.5 years.... Like this seems extremely intriguing to me...

- Freddie Pelling - Campbell. 21 Starts. 6'9" 315lbs. In 2025 had a 78.7 pass block grade. In 2024 had a 73.6 Pass block grade. On 716 total pass block reps at LT has allowed 27 pressures, 18 hurries, 7 sacks. 7 Penalties. 97.5% Pass Block efficiency

- Joe Metzger - Holy Cross. 20 starts. 6'5" 310lbs. Below average athlete. Pretty average grades. But like Bowers (but far worse athlete), he started at RT and was just average getting pass block grades around 62-67 (not horrible) and a couple good run block grades mixed in.... But then he Ended the season (6 games) at LG with pass block grades: 54, 84, 75, 75, 84, 62... Pretty good. However his run block grades dropped quite a bit with this move...

- Jestus Johnson - Center Delaware St. 23 starts, 38 games played. 6'3" 300lbs. Had a 72.6 Pass Block grade and 60.2 Overall grade this year. 7 Grades > 70 pass block grade which is good. Run block grade was just below average to slightly above average for most part. 321 pass snaps, 8 pressures allowed, 1 sack. 98.6% Passblock efficiency. Lot of penalties though - 10.

Safeties from D2/FCS:

- Isiah Revis, SJSU. 5'10" 194lbs. Safety. Great athleticism. 25 starts, 33 games played.

- Mason Rivera, Cal Poly Safety. 6'0" 190lbs. Pretty solid athleticism. 17 starts and 34 games played. Played all over the field. 64 tackles with only a 9% miss tackle%. 32 targets agains, allowing 65% rec%. Allowed 2 TDs, got 1 INT, and had 7 PBUs. 103.6 QB Rating when targeted. Not the best, but solid...

- Cinque Williams, East Texas A&M. 5'11" 187lbs. Seems like a very good athlete. 13 starts, 27 games played. 56 tackles, 14% misstackle%. I'd say was just bad to below average at best against pass. Played 342 snaps in the Slot though, and as you can see had a 91.8 Run D grade... which is great obviously... so interesting when combined with his athleticism.
