I agree with your Ted comment...watching that guy play left one with the impression he was from another planet as on every defensive play he was somehow all over the field making impossible plays.Good write up. Hard to argue against Allen. I think one year four of his linemen played in the NFL. Ted is GOAT in my mind with all due respect to Ray, Ed and ST. If I remember, Burt block a last second two point conversion by noles to ruin about a season that might have given them a shot at title before we got ours. The original heartbreaker for the feather people. Allen was great.
And to think I was hoping for Greek God status...Ernie's the Anti-Herd...like Damien...minus the devil and the attacking Rottweilers.
Well, my best friend, 'Otis the Town Drunk' calls me, Earnest T.Is it Earnie, Ernie or Erny?
@Earnest T. Bass, the HERD and the Slurpers are united in wanting to know.

How the **** are you at that age and so youthful and exuberant? You're welcome, KWConch. Even during the lean years (1950's thru most of the 1970's) the Canes had some great coaches and players, although not enough to make them a national power. I agree 100% with you that more coaches like Coach Allen makes much better teams and positive futures for the kids. By the way; played several high school football games in Key West (1968 & 1970).
C'mon! You really wanted to ask me; "At your age how can you still be alive." Yet, I do appreciate you delicately approaching that elephant in the room. How the **** are you at that age and so youthful and exuberant?

I'm stunned. I thought we were closer in age. I was born in 66. You're doing way better than me with the energy you have to take on all these young guys in here. I'll trade you testosterone levels. Whatever you have I could use a dose of.C'mon! You really wanted to ask me; "At your age how can you still be alive." Yet, I do appreciate you delicately approaching that elephant in the room.

People dont realize until they have an involvement with the program or are historians what our program put out somewhat consistently before schnelly. Wins and losses weren't great but we had some monsters I'm more than proud to call family.Everything pre Schnelly feels like it took place a different world. I def appreciate hearing about those times, and people
