A note on Portal QBs

Oh no We miss out on Judd the Studd, Emory The Gaww, future HOF Jack Allison, TVD, Mr. **** yo ***** Nkosi Perry. Where will we be with out Peyton Matocha, Jarren Williams, Malik Rosier, Kaaya, Evan Sherieeff, Japicky and stephen Morris, etc..

What QB are you afraid of missing out on in last 20 years?! That have left an actual mark in cfb lore? Kirby Freeman? Like ask yourself, what the **** are we even talking about right now, really go down the list..

Kaaya actually doesnt belong on that list, he was a good qb here and Rosier was a bridge QB who was a one year band aid who maximized the teams ceiling that year..

If I remember correctly, some people in the know said his dad was annoying throughout the process. Some of the demands were unrealistic. Also, not sure if Mendoza — as good of a player as he is — would have meshed well with our lockeroom. Beck seemed like more of a natural fit, in my opinion.

Idk if it’s just me but feel like I see a pattern where some “insider” commentary is almost always framed as hindsight or blame. Lots of “coulda had X player “ and “so and so botched it.”

Their takes rely almost entirely on implication and hindsight without ever actually giving any details. Weird energy.

Pretty sure that’s brooklyndee who said that… I get it because we will get negatively recruited against for top elite signal callers but we really haven’t signed 5 star kids to even worry about it… nickels and Coleman are nice prospects but far from “sure things”

Compared to other positions I am completely fine getting a portal kid (albeit the right one with leadership and ability) to come in every year. Other positions should always be highly recruited and signed out of HS with only portal fixing misses from recruiting like DB last year or Lb this year

And it’s a Miami problem that we aren’t recruiting a qb…Portal is the most proven way.

I’m 100% okay with this considering we never had a QB take a relevant NFL snap in over 20 years since Ward. Only 2 drafted (Morris, Kayaa) in that timeframe. We just suck at recruiting and developing QB’s here. Portal that ***** up
