A notable improvement on OL

But in short yardage situations - if our RB is met a yard behind the LOS or at the LOS, do you think we have a better chance at winning that contact with a 190 lb RB or a 230 lb RB?

I'm not saying saying the run blocking doesn't need to be better - it definitely does. I'm saying not performing in short yardage isn't 100% on the OL. There were questionable personnel & play call/design that contributed, and that's out the OL's control.
100% in agreement.

Quick release, having to respect the slant and vertical passing game helped pass blocking a bunch, we are still atrocious at run blocking; you need to have that balance to be truly competitive.

Meh, it was nice, but the ACC didn't have a great group of pass rushers and when we faced one (FSU) he gave us ****. Run blocking was atrocious and recruitment is abysmal, we are not settled at OL.

How much of that is credited to a QB that can read/react & move in the pocket? I think a good bit.
Actually, it takes time for the QB to make good decisions, especially a freshman, 2.9 seconds for most successful teams. A good OL and a QB that see’s the field well are required. It’s a team!

3.7 yards per carry and I’m out. 🤢🤮

Semper Canes!!!
Unfortunately, a lot of that lies with Jaylan Knighton.

Knighton has had one of the most explosive seasons receiving for a RB.....but also debatably the least explosive season for a Miami RB in the last 25 years.

I know that will put some people on tilt, and it doesn't make sense to me either - but that's what the numbers say.
