If the corners were healthy that would have been Fitz in coverage not Thornton, and he’s not getting toasted like that.

Be very careful hometeam, you have a few cats thinking he’s an awesome OC and waiting for the right job offer to leave.

What really puzzling is seeing how cats like to blame Mario (I’m not fan of Mario but watched enough of Cane football to know we needed him) for the failure of the inside running game but it’s Dawson who’s actually calling the running plays.👀

Reminds me that Mario was being interviewed during the off season. They asked, what would you change about CFB? He said no non Saturday games. Said Fridays belong to high school ball. Then our schedule comes out and we had 5 non Saturday games. Thankfully, the VA Tech game was changed to Saturday, Nov. 21.

Weeknight games allow for these to be a national showcase but I feel they rarely benefit the higher ranked team.

@pubmedu thanks for posting those screenshots.

Right now we are starting 3 guys on defense (Dunnigan, Thorton, and Toure) who are BBQ chicken in m2m.

We really need to get at least one of the corners back before we play a legit passing QB (which luckily may not be until the Pitt game). Would allow us to move Fitz around between safety and nickel.

I think we're better off transitioning Toure to a rush end role, and giving more snaps to 17, 11, 4, and 30 at LBer (with Dunnigan there on 3rd and long)
