Help a brother out here that is about to kill someone when leaving Hard Rock from the Green Lot and attempting to head toward Lauderdale.

If any of you have this commute, how the **** have you been getting north this year? They've closed the turns both back to the Turnpike and north on 27th this year with cones. We've had to either take the streets east all the way back to the freaking Golden Glades and then hit 95 N OR go all the way out west (in bumper to bumper traffic) to 47th and head north to County Line Rd and THEN head back to where they'll let you on 27th to progress to the Turnpike on-ramps.

The map below shows what's blocked with red x's and the green dot is roughly where we're exiting from.

And I knowwwww, commute talk is one step below arguing about attendance or shoe colors but forgive me as my next step is to probably cause a police chase by crashing through their idiotic closures.

I had to call the school and find out, we got on 826 somehow and ended up an extra hour away. You have to go to the northwest corner and exit through gate 1A.

I may be wrong on this, but can't you take that "internal road" north, the one that runs parallel to 27th, and then turn left towards 27th, and finally right (and north) on 27th?

It might be some heavy traffic, I'm just not sure which direction they let you turn on that little north-south access road on the stadium property.

You can't just get on the turnpike north leaving the stadium anymore? I haven't parked on the East side of the stadium for a couple of years now.

That's what I was thinking when looking at the map but I really don't remember ANY right turns being open on 199th until you got west of 27th. And to travel within the lots to other exits seems impossible.

Sorry, Northeast corner to 1A. It's between the blue lots, my directions are all messed up today.

Nope. For some reason they blocked the turn I'd always make left on 199th that led right to the stadium turnpike on-ramps completely off.

It's been that way for a while (at least for the big games).

Yeah, I think I misstated in my earlier post, I was trying to lead you back to 27th, then north to County Line, then east to the Turnpike.

But I do know what you are saying, I think they were having too much gridlock directly south of the stadium on 199th. Too many left turns.

I think everything west of the midpoint of the stadium has to go west. Which would require you to go north of the stadium on 27th, and then connect to the northbound Turnpike via County Line.

Or else go farther north on 27th to Pines, and then take Pines east.

You used to be able to at worst go east and do a u-turn on 199th and come back to make the right toward the stadium turnpike on-ramps though. Now that entire intersection is completely closed.

Do you want to head north on the turnpike?

Yep.

I think it was mentioned earlier in this thread, your best bet is to work your way through the parking lot to exit 1A. And then make sure you take the lane the curves to the right and then curves north and gets you right on turnpike north. It’s clearly labeled with the arrows.

Kinda what we were thinking.....but dreading having to navigate within the lots to an exit that far away. Gracias nonetheless. Watch WSVN for a possible high-speed chase originating in Miami Gardens circa midnight on Saturday.

TF, try to park where you have the easiest exit to the most northwestern corner of the green lot. Then just head north and it’s the second right. About 100 yds from the NW corner of green.

Our tailgate group setup kinda precludes moving but I see what you're saying. Probably just going to involve starting some longer post-game tailgates to let traffic start to leave. Nothing wrong with that.

OriginalCanesCanesCanes is corrrect. We park in green as well and wait a bit for traffic to die down. If you make a left in between the green and orange lots (as indicated on the map). You head straight which I believe is north until you cannot go any further. You will then make a right turn and Will dump out onto the turnpike in essentially your own lane to go through toll booth. You will bypass all the orange traffic leaving from the main orange gate off the turnpike.

I get it.

I never have any trouble getting to that spot, but I also park closer to that exit than you. I think it’s worth a try to check it out.

But honestly, as much as some people bltch about HRS, other than your very specific situation, getting in and out is a breeze, even in a sellout, compared to other venues I’ve been at down here and around the country.

I live in Pompano and if you can get to Orange gate #6 you'llbe able to get to northbound turnpike pretty easy. It's just getting to that gate that may be tough for you. Pretty sure once you are in the orange lot on the west of the stadium near your lot you should be able to take orange lot north to gate #6 .
