A House Divided

so is shaq rethinking his commitment? Oh my, stick a fork in me!!

Not at all... Shaq's is Miami's to loose... If the current coaching staff is in place or another staff that we feel comfortable with is in place Shaq will be a Hurricane if its the Lords Will... Shaq will take at least three official visits... but again he is Miami's to lose. Meaning I don't think that there is anything that another school can do to sway Shaq.. only Miami can do that.

This is what im talking about! Your family truly defines a "Cane " my brother.
F*ck the banners, f*ck the fan negativity, f*ck the empty seats, f*ck the 6-7 record this year, f*ck the watch request at GOlden's house for the veggie delivered pizzas. In summary, f*ck the noise!!
All about the U!

what an idiot!

UKW,

Its 3 factions:

- the true canes that want to burn it down
- true canes that are less passionate about burning it down
-trolls from other teams manipulating the negativity to their favor

what you see on campus and at sun life is what you get for the next 4 years, all the other stuff is bs, 80 percent of the people on this board dont go to games, this cesspool should NEVER equate into anyones decision on whether or not to attend and play football at UM

Appreciate your input and candor, but youre in a place to educate these kids that these sites are not reality

While I think the 80% is a little harsh..I do think that we are a small sample size of the fan base. Flying banners gets people attention and all, but there will still be 70k at Sun Life when NEB strolls into town and it will be a 60/40 crowd in UMs favor. We can boycott games on here all we want but certain game will still draws fans who don't know anything about this site.

I would say 65% of the people who post on here don't go to games and probably never will even if we were a powerhouse.

Bingo. A majority of the so-called "fans" and outspoken individuals on this site don't even go to games if they could. Site's like these are entertaining, but at the end of the day just meaningless banter that unfortunately has an effect to some extent on the fanbase and perception of it as a whole.

I would break it down like this…

#1 The Children

  • The whinners, complainers and the criers who still want to win but all they really care about is that things are not going right and something needs to change.
Their solutions typically are short sided and don’t involve real deep thoughts all they know is something needs to change.
Roots for Miami at all costs.

#2 The Woman
  • The scorned PMsing fans who want blood and they don’t care if you shut Miami football down forever cuz their mad and out of tampons.
So full of overflowing estrogen that they really have don’t have ability to stop from lashing out or calling names.
Doesn’t matter who gets in the way (board members, players, recruits).
Actually roots against Miami. Likely get more of a rush when they lose than win. Their argument means more to them than Miami.

#3 The Men
  • Those that actually look at the situation logically and care more for the best solutions to return to a championship caliber program.
There will be many different opinions on how to get there but they understand that the problem is multifaceted.
They will not lash out at kids or do anything they feel is damaging to the program.
Roots for Miami at all costs .

And if you really believe there are Trolls. What classification would any troll benefit most from being in?

Makes a lot of sense.. I will keep this in mind.

Either way those that want us to lose out on recruits are just plain wrong.
The fact is, nothing will happen until we get a new president. I honestly believe if we had hired a new president in December or even January, then we probably would have fired Golden.
Anyways, wanting us to lose out on recruits is just silly. Especially since we know it doesn't matter what the talent level is, Golden will still lose. So missing out on top guys is just going to hurt our next coach, and allow the excuse that Golden had the first 2 years "we don't have the talent and depth yet" (was bs though).

Lets all hope the New president realizes just how important football is to this school, and how much it can help the school. And Please let Golden be fired in November at the latest.

I mean this with all due respect, but I just don't get how any parent could allow their child to play for this staff if they have significantly better options.

This is a public site with fans, haters, alumni, parents and probably some ex-players too. For anyone to ask or suggest anyone adapt their behavior to your idea of proper website etiquette is ridiculous and a waste of time. Everyone hear has a right to express themselves in any manner they see fit, that doesn't threatened safety. Expressing disdain for a coach or administration is certainly out of the ordinary. I would say do not attack the players. They should be off limits in regards to the nastiness, but **** Golden. Same for the Golden supporters! **** you idiots too, because if your political correctness means that you have to express love for something you don't like then move to China!

The UM football program has been in disarray since about 2004. At no point over the past decade has this program been in a position where things were going to get better. That's a long time for fans to remain calm and collected.

From my perspective, it wasnt the consistent under-achieving on the field that got fans to the boiling point but rather the lack of action from UM management in dealing with on-field issues within football program. The fans finally got a peek behind the curtain and realized that it was the wicked witch from the north who is holding UM football back.

Hit the nail on the head. Just kind of hard to understand how many people don't get this...

Shalala will point to nothing in the football program as a personal accomplishment of hers once she leaves the school. She may boast that she took on the NCAA but that will be it.

If you really want to spend more time trying to band aid the issues with the program by changing coach after to coach then your on a road to no where. If your mad as **** there was no coaching change this year, ask yourself this honestly, do you really want Shalala's administration hiring our next coach?

The number one issue with the state of Miami is that the leader's of Miami don't care about Football.

They look at football as an intramural sport that keeps the kids out of trouble and makes the school fun. Whereas every other top notch program in the country looks at football as the cash cow. Treat Miami football as a business not as some type government program and then things will change.

Don't go out and get me another 2nd tier coach (under the cloak of affordability) who shows promise, blah, blah blah... Invest in the coach as you would a CEO. Go all in and think of it as a business investment that will bring more money into the program. The growth opportunities are so large it doesn't make sense to not go after it. Throw up enough money to make Tony Dunge think about coming here. If you only hire what you say you can afford then your not looking to expand.

Stop giving me this BS about not accepting academic exceptions. You can stay under the National average and still save face. No one looks at Miami as the next Harvard so stop acting like it it.

Until Miami steps up and really goes all into the business of college football they will always be at a disadvantage. The sad part is that the school is actually losing money because if this and they simply don't care. This administration simply does not want to be a Football School. The best news is that it is changing.

Miami has such a competitive advantage because of its location in the most football rich gold mine around that there is no reason why this program shouldn't be shooting to be the top program in the country.

When you hear a kid come back from Alabama and say that Alabama really wants to win it has nothing to do with wins and losses and it has everything to do with how Football is big business at some schools and others it just there.

Also this legend that Miami simply doesn't have the funds to invest into its football program is a joke. Miami simply doesn't want to take monies from other segments of the university and invest it into football because leadership simply doesn't support it.

This new administration doesn't even have to be football fans as much as they need to be sound business minds. Simply treat the program as an investment that your trying to maximize your return on and every program in the country would take notice because their days would be numbered.

Arent you doing the exact same thing as you write complaining about other people doing it?

Iisn't this Miami fan site? I guess by your logic it would be ok for every single member of any Florida or fsu site to take over this one, because its a free site.

Also do you not recognize that people on this board all want him gone? Just because people don't want to burn it to the ground in the process somehow people start stating your a golden lover which is so laughable its just dumb. Calling someone a Golden supporter is nothing more than idiots speak for "you don't agree with me and you keep throwing logic to support your beliefs. bwah, bwah, bwah"

Guys sorry but you cant state that there are more things wrong with Miami than just Golden and not be a Golden supporter.

I personally did not want to see Shalala fire Golden this year because i don't want her to have her hands on any more coach hires at the U. She simply does not have her priorities right to hire the correct person and any hire would have been yet one more waste of 5 more years. I guess that makes me a Golden slurper or at least in the eyes of all the simpletons on this site.

What? you mean you don't like Ad Hominem's?

She also doesn't get how any parent could let their son play for this staff. Apparently if you've always loved Miami, and it's your dream school, that's still not a good enough reason to go there.

No actually I love it... It take a special person to be able to read blog post after blog post for spelling and grammar errors. I especially like the ones that make grammar errors in there replies about bad grammar (see what I did there).

I had a special relationship with my English teaches in school and I am glad to fund out that they actually paid people to follow me into the real world pointing out my mistakes so i can consistently keep improving. Talk about customer service and dedication the craft. Thanks Mrs Smith. I knew you wouldn't give up on me.

At the same time, those that are closer to the program need to stop with their condescending bull**** and telling others how to be a fan or how to support the program.
I agree and I may have even expressed that in so many words... but we all have our own agendas and reasons for our expressions and the freedom to do so.

At least you admit it. Also, anytime I see your bull**** condescension, I'll be right there to call you out on it.
