If we just smiled and said "things will work out, guys" Golden would be here another 20 years. We're pushing for change to ensure your son doesn't have to spend the next 4 years backpedaling 35 yards in the Duck Commander Bowl on a 7 loss team.

Yet the negativity is warranted, The administration and coaches are truly deserving of all of it. The players don't deserve it but unfortunately they are often caught in the crossfire. Many of us are just shocked that the school and some posters on here are so full of excuses for whats going on and want to act like we are just vigilante fans from some ****** fan base and that's just not the case. Its really insulting.

That's my biggest problem with some other canes fans. We all want the same thing. We are all united on how we feel about the coach. But there are still those that have to put down other fans or still feel the need to show that they were right about golden earlier on.

It only hurts the program to constantly ***** at each other and tweet recruits and talk crap about what's going on.

^^^^* this. No matter what or who the coach is my love for the U will never change. We all want golden gone but there is large percent of canes fans showing their as5es right now and it is making us look bad for the most part. Will it inspire change? I think so,things simply just can't stay the same and we are making that known.... We should be vocal about some of the things the administration and Bot is doing but not on social media imo so recruits can see. The correct method is instead using your mouth to influence change stop giving money to UM.... Miami is money hungry and that would really frustrate them imo

At this point in the season, there three groups in here...the group that hates Al and the administration so much that it doesn't matter what they do this side of winning the MNC next year they will hate anything positive and make sure to gloat about the negative.

There are the people who don't think the sky is falling and walk around with O&G glasses on. Think Al deserves another year and we should support him because he is our coach and there is nothing we get do about it anyway so go along to get along.

And then there are the people who just want to see the team succeed. For the players sake. And if Al is along for the ride, who gives a ****. We hope he is not, but we want so bad for this team to become relevant again the circumstances and the means don't matter much.

Either you are with miami or you are not. It's that simple. Golden is feeling the pressure. Since that's the case I hope we will see a more agressive game plan on both sides of the ball. If not his as5 will be fired and should be if he doesn't at least win 11 games. Yeah I said it. He made his bed and he has to lie in it My love for the U is far greater than my hate for any coach....

Not at all... Shaq's is Miami's to loose... If the current coaching staff is in place or another staff that we feel comfortable with is in place Shaq will be a Hurricane if its the Lords Will... Shaq will take at least three official visits... but again he is Miami's to lose. Meaning I don't think that there is anything that another school can do to sway Shaq.. only Miami can do that.

Exceptional post. Going 1-4 to close the season when we were up by a couple touchdowns versus FSU poisoned the well. People are sick of losing. But we all are fans. Your son is part of the solution, and while this class wasn't as solid as it could have been if we hadn't ended at 6-7, the Canes have a talented team that can win it all in 2015 and 2016. So whether it's Golden or a new coach, the program has the DNA place to win now.

The thing that bothers me about the program is the lack of progress made with the football program in the last 8 years. The Administration doesn't have a desire to become a big time program, and they made that clear when Golden wasn't fired. They continue to nickle and dime their football coaches, from head coach on down. The saying you get what you pay for is absolutely ringing true here. Miami has a fertile recruiting base down in South Florida and they are giving that away because the HS coaches and kids see the lack of progress in the program. This is going back to when Sam Shields was here. He was a OK player and then went to the NFL and with some coaching turned into a top player right away. The aura of the "U" is slowly starting to fade away into the sunset and soon these kids will not remember the dominate teams at Miami. It's obviously clear that to be a big time program you have to spend money and Miami isn't doing that.

Im def #3 with a little #2 in it. Im at the point now where hes the coach. (shrugs) WTH am I gonna do about it? No one on the BOT is losing sleep over this so why should I? Im sure BJames sleeps like a baby too. Shalala DEF doesn't give a ****. Even some former players have basically given up the fight. We fans are the only ones stressin' ourselves over this stuff. I will root for the team, but from afar. If they show that they have earned my support (basically by going undefeated or being a top 10 team by Nov) I will reevaluate at that time. (maybe go to a few games) Other then that, ive moved on.

Its 3 factions:

- the true canes that want to burn it down
- true canes that are less passionate about burning it down
-trolls from other teams manipulating the negativity to their favor

what you see on campus and at sun life is what you get for the next 4 years, all the other stuff is bs, 80 percent of the people on this board dont go to games, this cesspool should NEVER equate into anyones decision on whether or not to attend and play football at UM

Appreciate your input and candor, but youre in a place to educate these kids that these sites are not reality
