A few tidbits

Miami should adopt the same
no suspensions policy that Clemson and Alabama have in place.

I like you, Mr. Dog, but this board becomes a cesspool of misinformation a lot of times and this is no exception. I'm not going to sit here and defend Saban, and sure as **** not Dabo, but let's be real. Their kids break rules and face consequences too. Just a couple years ago, Saban suspended Najee Harris, Devonta Smith, Brian Robinson and Terrell Lewis for their opener (not sure if it was a full or partial game suspension but I know they were disciplined and those are some pretty key kids). Yes, they were playing Duke. But it was the first game, those kids broke rules, and they sat. Not Saban's fault their backups backups could happen to win the game they had scheduled. I believe they had some players suspended for an Orange Bowl recently too. So it's not like only Miami suspends players, it happens **** near everywhere, you just don't hear about it because you're a Miami fan so why would you care?

Another tidbit is the rumors are true, there’ll be multiple players suspended for Bama. I know the original post on a suspension only listed one player.

Both players are key contributors but i wouldn’t call it life or death losses. It just sucks because we need all hands on deck.

Please don’t turn this into guessing every player in the two deep like the last thread which turned into a **** show.

I won’t be naming names for obvious reasons. Just passing on info.
So multiple = 2?

Them Bama bois must have robbed a bank!

I was some what making a tounge-in-snout comment. But, big games mean no suspension for some infractions at some schools more than others I’d wager.
I get it..I really do. But other programs indeed suspend kids. You don’t sustain the success they have up there with a undisciplined program with guys doing crazy **** and not having a focused team set on singular goals. See the Coker tenure and FSU with jimbo. Saban clearly hasn’t let **** slip..Talent only gets you so far..besides all them kids got to do up there is practice, lift, smash some southern thickness and show to class…rather literally or figuratively

Cam Robinson had a gun in the car and they didn’t arrest him. Nana didn’t even suspend him for it lol.

These suspensions issues are definitely on a case by case basis. I’d say there’s guys that probably have a bit more leeway and there’s guys who will probably be made an example of.

I’d also like to remind some of you guys that it was just two seasons ago that Manny was burned at the stake for allowing Jeff Thomas to come back and allowing Jarren Williams to play after staying out all night and generally being a f-up. He was too soft on players and had “lost the locker room”. Players didn’t respect him because he let them do whatever they wanted with no repercussions. There were even posters here saying they would have rather him bench players and finish 3-9 than let them play and go 6-7. So yeah, if Manny wants to make some second team players sit out a game because they did something clearly against team rules, than that’s what he’ll have to do.

Guns are legal, Sir. Unless you point it at Saban himself, if you are a football player at Alabama your Second Amendment rights will be respected.
Who was that tackle who got caught with the unregistered gun? I think the serial number had been removed too. Anyone else would had gone to jail for this.

If he doesn't have fluidity he certainly will need a high motor. Those are the 2 most important features of a quality DEs. I certainly have been McCloud biggest doubter buy hopefully he has something in him we've never seen.
Fluid in space no, fluid attacking yes.

Discipline is what separates Coker at Miami, jimbo at fspoo and Ed O at lsu from saban at Alabama. Yes obviously saban does some shady stuff but he runs that program hard and the players are scared of him. The three aforementioned coaches may have won more rings had they not let the program go to **** and the players run wild.

The problem is that by your standards/reporting we should have 10-14 players drafted this year so...

If 10-14 of our upper classmen are draftable, and presumably alot of underclassmen will be draftable...

1. We should be unstoppable as a college team.

2. All of the these draftable kids should be starting.

3. These kids should be getting better each year.

These 3 things aren't happening for some reason in the program. I agree the talent is there but there's a coaching issue.
Was..... There WAS a coaching issue. When DEF was elite the OFF was trash....we finally got the OFF on track and the DEF didn't hold up with Baker.....but now there aren't any excuses.....had spring, had summer, have experience, have talent, have TRob, have Simpson, have Stroud and Shoop as eyes in the sky, have DEF Coordinator back in Coach Diaz.......

Above average OFF during COVID during first year of installs with no spring coupled with by our DEF standards, a below average year at DEF....we went 8-3 with 7 ACC wins...gentlemen that's a 10-11 win season if we play our two cupcake games and King doesn't go down vs OKST (a game which we STILL almost won)

I’m pretty confident that if McCloud starts at DE we are going to get embarrassed in just about every game. The fact that he’s being rumored to start already tells me the kind of season we are about to have.
Based on what?

I get it but it’s a message board man, people are going to comment on it as much as they like.

“How many threads can the same people call people mopes for posting the same stuff?” See what I did there? Find a way to get over it/look past it because obviously people aren’t going to stop.

That’s kind of the issue though. He has been a DE for what, 9 months? If he is already surpassing a guy that we all had high hopes for going into year 3 (Harvey), then that is an issue.

When the McCloud move was first announced, 95% of the people on this board said its just a depth move and he wouldn’t see big time minutes. Now it’s “well no one knows that he can’t play DE!!!”. This isn’t a shot at you, but it’s an issue to me if a 6 year under achiever who has been at DE for less than a year is surpassing our young talent who have been at the position for years. JMO.
So basically adding it all up....(btw good point about his passing up Harvey etc).....sounds to me that McCloud is an absolute monster at DE and passed up Harvey on the depth chart......or Harvey is tip toeing the JAG line and McCloud is an average DE.....let's hope McCloud is a beast
