whoooaa!! hold on, hold on, hear me out. Neely, actually played a lot in his last year(he was switched to Oline and was a starter by 98. One of Kehoe's better jobs of coaching a guy up if you ask me).

Cam never really played at all, and he was HIGHLY recruited and rated

Another tidbit is the rumors are true, there’ll be multiple players suspended for Bama. I know the original post on a suspension only listed one player.

Both players are key contributors but i wouldn’t call it life or death losses. It just sucks because we need all hands on deck.

Please don’t turn this into guessing every player in the two deep like the last thread which turned into a **** show.

I won’t be naming names for obvious reasons. Just passing on info.

Manny can pull an al golden and say we lost because of the suspensions.

There are two types of coaching in D1 college football: The Al Goldens who suspend kids for the nationally televised game against a top tier opponent and the Urban Meyers who suspend those same kids for the App State game.

We now know which one Manuela aspires to be.

I got a strong suspicion of who I think it is. Just unfortunate for the team and the kids making the dumb decisions.

When you say "multiple" are you referring to more than one on defense or an additional player(s) to go along with the rumored offensive player from the last thread?
 
Isn't a coach basically punishing himself and the team when he suspends a player for violating team rules? If the ncaa isn't knocking on the door, I don't get it. Make the players run wind sprints til they puke, but don't suspend them before a career defining opportunity.

I will put my PR hat on and spin it for Manny: just say the circumstances of the rules violation are still being investigated. Then after the Bama game, announce the suspension. That way it looks like you are doing something now but not hurting the team by being short handed against Bama.

Letting the inmates run the asylum is a very, very dangerous and incredibly slippery slope. It's ******, of course, but we don't know the specifics of what happened. What if the kids had multiple chances but still continued to fvck up? Could be overkill, could be deserved. I just hate that we won't be at full strength, but you have to hold up your end of the bargain as an athlete here, too.

It's technically not fair to judge our school on the same level with other schools when it comes to punishment. We all know how the ncaa treats us differently. I actually don't blame Golden on how he handled that stuff.
