a few things that were maddening yesterday (Duke debacle)

Spot on @k9cane … only area I disagree with is having a right handed qb roll out to the left. Don’t see the issue. It forces the qb to rotate their core.

I dunno. You could be right. But not enough to cover that $14M coaching staff…

Fair question on Lane - but reality is that LSU is about 20 spots higher in the talent composite (maybe more) than Ole Miss.

Brian Kelly is also an excellent coach. Being able to get ND to the playoffs multiple times is pretty amazing given that recruits have to meet NDs academic standards. And the other remarkable thing has made the playoffs with significantly less talent than other programs. I believe that the last time ND made the playoffs, they had four 5 stars on the roster. The next closest team in the playoffs had nine 5 stars.

I don't have many complaints if a coach loses on the road to a team that is absolutely loaded and coached by one of the best coaches in cfb. Ole Miss already has several wins over good teams this season, so at this point there isn't any reason to think that Ole Miss is only able to beat teams without a pulse.

And to be fair - what I said would have applied to Cristobal too. I would have zero complaints if UM had lost to TAMU and had won all the rest of the games against less talented or comparably talented teams, even if the games were boring slogs.

Yeah, was only joking about Lane. Every coach has these games, and most many times.

Saban could easily have loss at Texas and at home to TAMU. His defense was burned to a crisp at Tennessee. Even though Bama beat MSU 30-6, it wasn’t impressive. Offense was clunky but the defense stuffed The Pirate.

Gattis is atrocious. We scored those 2 TDs with ease playing a little faster but the following drive after Duke took the lead back we come out with more slow it down and establish the run bull****. Guy just can't help himself.
from the offensive side of the ball, the loss is simply because can't help himself to NOT RUN TIGHT SETS. That is why we lost yesterday. In the VT game he kept us spread out. They got to TVD out of tight sets running exotic blitzes we could not pick up. TVD does not get hurt otherwise. End of story on offensive side of the ball. On Defense, yea, WTF, we all knew the QB keeper was coming. Play and spy the QB with 2 safeties.
