A couple of thoughts

Nothing will change. Mario doesn't care if the defense knows the play we are about to run. He believes in supperior talent and execution. He loves the terrible offense we run. He is not a good football coach. He has never been a good football coach. His idiot *** will cost us another game

Hang on a second.

All week I was told the run game was 100% Mirabal and Dawson just calls what he’s told to call.

Now you’re telling me that not only is the run game Dawson’s, but actually it’s Mirabal coming up with creative short yardage plays???

LMAOOOOOOOOO this place is demented.
Huh? If speaking facts is demented call me Ed Gein brah. Skip to the 6:25 mark of this video where Dawson clearly states who gave him the play. I watch and remember all things cane football buddy

Yesterday was probably Marion’s worse game as a cane, up until that point he didn’t do anything to justify not playing him. I think the uptick in snaps for guys like Moore was in response to the social media stuff, gotta keep guys happy.

They play two halves. Both count. Cumulatively.

You wrote a nice word salad. Have you considered sending your run schemes to Coach Dawson?
We ran the following in the first half

First drive was 9 plays 50 yards covering 5:02

We got 42 of the 50 yards on the first two plays (passes) then slowed down and stalled out

Second drive was 5 plays 11 yards. It took us 2:15 to run 5 plays including 2 incompletions.

Third drive was even worse. 11 plays to go 34 yards in 5 minutes.

Fourth drive it took us 15 plays to go 71 yards in 7:24. Even the TD required a ridiculous catch by Daniels on 3rd down. So if not for a highlight reel catch we’re probably taking 3 to go into the half.

That first half offense was the epitome of a slow plodding non explosive archaic and whatever other adjective you can put in there. 40 plays to go about 150 yards with 42 of those yards on the first two plays of the game. almost 20 minutes TOP to be tied with Stanford at the half?

Problem is the second half. We had success doing what we did in the first half. We just tried harder and Stanford couldn’t keep up. Problem is as we saw last week when the talent is even remotely closer we can try as hard as we want but that margin for error shrinks quickly. Weeks 1-4 were an aberration. Teams have adjusted but we have not.

Hey buddy.

These sorts of posts drive me nuts. You took something Dawson said - 3 years ago - about installing a play - which is very different than CALLING the play In GAME- to “prove” your point. And you dressed up your commentary in condescending tone. You deserve a dunce cap.

What did Moore post on his social media?

“Problem is the second half. We had success doing what we did in the first half. We just tried harder”

Are you kidding me? The problem was the first half lack of execution. If we convert a 4th down and don’t miss a FG, we lead 17-7 at the half. The “we just tried harder” part has Message Board Geniuses written all over it.

Fair commentary:

First half was uninspired on offense (again) with a lack of execution. Halftime adjustments were made. Second half was much better.

Everything else written is a hyperbolic attempt to prove you’re right.

Dawson is a slightly above avg OC but nothing special. No scripted drives like Brohm/Norvell to lead to easy first scores or unique gameplans to catch DC's off guard, not a lot of misdirection or spacing, zero TE action, no RB screens, not many great play designs (like the George redzone TD stated above, where did that play go?). $2M+ per year for average, so frustrating.

What do our all our offensive analysts do all week? How is there not someone compiling unique/clever play designs to copy and use ourselves? How can no one script a unique opening drive or different gameplan. 80% of this offense is feed toney and inside zone run.
We did script something different on the opening drive. Were you not paying attention? We ran 4 wides for two straight plays. No TE. We got two big gains. Then we went back to cave man.

You’re missing my point. Our offense requires way too much to be executed for it to be successful against what was essentially a G5 team. Nothing is designed to be easy.

Look at what we need to do to score inside the 10 then go and watch some of the other games from around the country. OCs are pulling stuff out that has guys walking in. We need to play bully ball against Stanford and need Fletcher to run people over to score. That’s not a long term recipe for success.

We need a legit #3 option at WR. Merion is what he is - a gadget guy but not a viable/dependable WR. Need Moore and trader to continue to get reps

When did I say he called the play mr.dunce? I said he suggested to Dawson he should put the play in. Reading comprehension can be valuable, class dismissed
