9th in the AP Poll

It is sorta nonsense to be lower than any 1 loss team but it don't matter as if we win the next 2 we will be a top 4 team.

They could move us to number 1, and it won't matter if we don't take care of the next game. Could care less how we win, but I do care how we lose. So do the polls. All that needs to happen is to take it one game at a time and have at least one more point than whoever we're playing that given week. Polls will handle themselves, team needs to handle theirs. So far each is doing their jobs.

Not nonsense if you have watched the games. This was a really really bad UNC team that absolutely dominated Miami at the LOS on offense. Doesn't matter if Edge or Frank Gore had been in backfield- the OL was getting manhandled. The biggest reason I can't argue with dropping in the rankings is the offense's general ineptitude at getting points off turnovers. Going back to the Cuse game, I believe Miami has forced 7 turnovers yielding a grand total of 10 points. In the UNC game, Redwine had pick at the UNC 25 with about 4 min left that looked to seal the game. Somehow the offense managed to go negative 25 yards and ended up punting. That was preceded just a bit earlier in the game by the D getting getting an INT, then Rosier coming out and throwing it right back. At the very end, we had a chance to just run the ball and close out the game, and Homer fumbled. Fortunately D saved us again. We performed the last two weeks like a team that should be ranked in the mid 30s. I'm glad we are still in top 10 but we sure as **** didn't play like it.

Respect isn't given its earned, win in the next two weeks and the bums in the media and AP polls will have nothing to say and our ranking will be correct.

And everyone that claims to not care about polls needs to realize that (not specific to just this season) they're ceding that we're NEVER making the Playoff unless we're an undefeated team. Because all the early polling and narrative/propaganda shaping determines which 1 loss teams get in. It's why I'm such a strong advocate for expansion to an 8 team Playoff with objective and not subjective standards for at least 5 of those slots.

We don’t care for 1 reason. If you have a loss then style points matter. We have zero style points this year so we are where we deserve to be.

Even though it doesn’t truly matter I think it’s total bull****. I was hoping va tech was ranked ahead of us too. Little more fuel for the fire. Just win Saturday. Do not care if it’s ugly as ****!!

Which is fine IF the standard we're holding ourselves to was universally applicable to ALL other teams. It isn't and it won't be. Again, Georgia is getting cot**** 1st place votes already based off of ONE quality win by 1 pt.

Y'all are mad that the voters are paying attention to the way teams play rather than just W-L and box scores. unbelievable.

Funny when the narrative was that the SEC was sooooo strong from top to bottom that all that mattered in conference play were "W's". NOW we're strangely focused on "style" points. Hmmmm.

SEC bias absolutely....still don't think we're being treated unfairly this season in the polls. We haven't done a single thing that would lead most to believe that we're better than any of the teams ranked ahead of us....only ranking I take issue with is ND jumping so high.

You sound like a cuck that's swallowed too much espn swill. There is no way to defend Wisconsin at 4 and miami at 9. Lol

Fair and I'm not overly concerned about our ranking this week as I am more big picture of how narratives and propaganda are set early in the year to prop certain teams and conferences up for when the 1 loss teams are chosen for the Playoff.

I mean if we're being honest that's only going to probably apply to us THIS year in two specific instances:

A) We lose to Notre Dame by a fair margin as our only loss but somehow smoke Clemson in the ACCCG

Or

B) We lose to Notre Dame by like 1 or in OT but beat Clemson in a close ACCCG

Way to deflect and not answer the point. Lol. You're a self hating cuck that just takes what espn dishes out.

Do you really want teenagers to be playing potentially 16 games in a season? I'll take the four-game playoff...

1. If this is a major concern, how about you drop a game from the regular season? Remove a cupcake game.

2. The four-game playoff model creates too many potential problems. 8 is the magic number. 5 conference champions + 3 At-large.

Exactly. Player "safety" and "teenagers" was also one of the weakest arguments against a few extra teams playing one addl game a year.

It's also so horrible to see all those kids from Division I-AA, Division II, and Division III who are lifelong cripples due to the extra couple of games that the playoff teams have to play.

Lower divisions have shorter seasons. I believe division 2 only has 8 game seasons

TCU and Pedo State were probably saying "This" too......all the way up to when they were snubbed.
